Absolutely loved it, thank you!Lovely little restraunt, we arrived without having booked a table (tip, book a table or you may be dissapointed, it was busy)Even though we hadnt booked they accomodated us anyway(2 adults) with just a short 20 min wait, we went for a quick drink then returned.The food was ourstanding, hot, tasty, served in a timely fashion by the lovely waiting staff (thank you ladies) & steven the manager went out of his way to make sure everything was to our satisfaction & everyone elses at the tables around us, i found him to be a lovely, warm gentleman.We ordered starters salt & pepper mix sharing plate & hot & sour soup, the soup was wonderful, best ive had in ages! S&p mix was also fab with plenty for 2. My partner had the special curry, he loved it & i had the king prawn hot plate tbh i was very full after the soup & sharing platter so i didnt eat all my mains (restraunt offered to box it up for me) but what i did eat was fabulous. Starters vary in price, sharing platter was £8, main meals around £13~£15. The set meal was £25 per person. All in all we had a wonderful experience, thank you ❤

We have been to The Spring Deer for many years and have never had a bad experience. We visited in August for our eldest sons 21st and again in November for our youngest sons 18th. The food, service and value for money both times were absolutely fantastic! We couldn't fault anything during our 2 visits. The food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. My youngest son is very shy and doesn't like a fuss, the manager came over to the table and spoke to my son one to one and brought him a desert on yhe house (it was such a lovely touch which made the meal really memorable!). Due to the great experience we had we have booked a table for my 50th next week. We would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone thinking of going!!

They are amazing! Attentive staff, quick tasty food. The wife and I came to celebrate our 8 year anniversary of dating for the second year in a row, definitely making it a yearly thing! Cannot express enough how nice the food is.I overheard the next table saying it was the best Chinese they had in years.Vegetarian options: The Spring Deer Banquet has a vegetarian option for all courses. The savoury puff-pastry swirl was extremely nice! Crispy seaweed is well made.

Went last night and had a wonderful time. The service and food was outstanding. No rush between courses, sit and chat till ready for next course. All food served hot and that great moment when the plate for your food was delivered hot. I certainly was very impressed as I have a good allergy and they went above and beyond to ensure I had no contact with any foods that could have triggered an attack. Thank you so much. I will be back and highly recommend this place.
My husband and I are lived near San Francisco which has a huge Chinese population. Some of the best Chinese food we eat was in China Town S.F. We were pretty spoiled to have delicious and authentic Chinese right next door. We’ve been living in the U.K. for 10 years now and until we found Spring Deer, no other Chinese place over the years came close to what we are used to. We are super happy we found this place and finally when we have Chinese. We are fully satisfied and the food absolutely hits the spot. Spring Deer has a great menu and boasts a traditional Chinese decor. On top of that the food is super delicious and fresh. First Chinese restaurant in the U.K. where beef is not chewy and dry. The beef here, melts in your mouth. Highly recommend Beef In Black Bean Sauce. This restaurant is obviously doing something right. They have been open for over 30 years. We have been here 5 times in the span of a couple months and each time, each dish we get is fresh, aromatic and scrumptious. The restaurant is family owned and operated and you can tell how much they care by the level of friendly and welcoming service you receive. This is a very popular place and you can forget about getting a table over the weekend without a reservation. Best to make a booking a few days before the weekend to guarantee you get a table. Tue-Thur walk ins are OK but weekend tables get filled up pretty fast. Few other great dishes are the kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork and chefs specials. To be honest, everything we had so far was great. They do offer vegan and vegetarian options as well. If you live or are visiting the area and you want some quality Chinese food, This is it. You won’t find anything better or fresher. Highly recommend Spring Deer for their food, atmosphere and service.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options availableParking: Plenty of parking available near byWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has no steps and is specious. Went with close friends for a quiet meal ,, staff were really friendly and the service & food was excellent.Tables are well spaced affording privacy and though the restaurant was full there was a quiet relaxed atmosphere , we had a lovely evening and will be returning soon - 10/10.
