I used to go there a lot but recently (last 2 times) the waitress was so rude for no reason at all even my friends at the table noticed how she was acting so unfriendly that I nearly cried Shame as I love the food and the atmosphere but this behaviour put me and my friends off completely! Maybe learning how to deal with customers having a nice welcoming professional attitude

Stopped for a takeaway coffee with my wife whilst we were walking the dogs. Waited at the takeaway window for 10 minutes…the chef appeared 3 time and looked at us while carrying on with his business, two other employees walked past the window & looked at us. Not one person even acknowledged us or said a word! We simply left & went elsewhere! Why have a takeaway window if you don’t wish to serve customers! I won’t ever be going back but I’m leaving a review so you know that you need to sort out your service and manners! No problem to expect customers to be patient but to not even have the decency to acknowledge them and ask them to be patient is simply conceited! Extremely disappointed

Very busy but we did go on a sunny saturday afternoon. Food was beautiful. Nice choices on the menu. You can sit inside or outside with lovely canal view.Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian options if thats what you want.

We have a very nice lunch here today! The food was fresh and delicious! There was a bit of wait earlier, but worth it! We were served pretty quickly and the food came shortly later! Would definitely return if we are in the area again! There’s limited car parking outside.

Gorgeous little cafe. Visited with family yesterday whilst in the area, they managed to squeeze us in, in the upstairs dining area. Comfy surroundings. Lovely service and lovely food. Only wish I had known you can bring dogs. Will definitely be returning. Loved it!!

Sitting on the canal just above the foot path. Enjoy the view . The staff are so friendly.they have specials so do ask . Food is plated nicely and cooked fresh the portions are a good size and bonus the allow dogs

I had the French toast with summer berry’s off the breakfast menu, it was to die for and the portion was great. My Mum had the eggs Benedict, the eggs weren’t as runny as hoped for but tasted amazing. We had a slight issue with a half dead wasp on the window ledge but the girl that served us handled it. On another note, you have to arrive just after 9 (when the cafe opens) to get a decent parking spot as there is only a small car park out front. Would definitely recommend you try this cafe out.
Super cafe by the Huddersfield canal. Excellent, friendly service. Extensive menu. Good base to start a walk.

Lovely location, friendly waiting staff. Longer than I'd have liked for service, however the very friendly waitress apologised and explained that they were short staffed. Food was good, black pudding and sausage top notch. Flat white was delicious. Recommended.

I visited The Limekiln for the first time in ages for an eat-in meal. The food was good and the homemade cake selection was excellent. The upstairs seating is really nice too. Great place to stop and eat!
