Following the good reviews , we ordered a takeaway. I had the mixed grill starter which was ok, but the onion bhaji had been reheated as it was solid in the middle. My wife had the fish, but this was over cooked but the curry sauce was pleasant. I requested that my chicken chili was to be vindaloo hot, but the person who took the order forgot to tell the chef as this was quite warm but certainly not a madras nor a vindaloo...... The lentil dhal/sag dish was excellent. we will not be revisiting/or ordering a takeaway.

Just a brilliant, no frills Indian restaurant. Friendly staff, comfortable, fantastic food the Vindaloo was gorgeous. Really reasonable prices. BYOB too! I'll be back.

Ordered a tandoori mixed grill and only got chicken, not a mixed grill (still got charged the extra 50p though), says they had issues with lamb thats why they didn't serve it but failed to mention that until after the food was here, also didn't get 10% off when I ordered on the phone like shown on the menu. The guy on the phone is hasty to get off and clearly struggles to maintain focus. Won't be ordering here again. Sad really because food ain't that bad but customer service quality is dead. Seems like they need a refresher course.

We love this Indian restaurant and it has become our weekly place to visit. They don't serve beer but you are welcome to take your own drinks. The staff are always lovely and polite and the food is always outstanding ? it is a very reasonable place to eat price wise and only costs around £35 for our food, from starters mains, sides and dessert for our little girl.

It's our "go to" Indian of choice. Why? Food is reasonably priced, good-sized portions, you can take your own booze and the food quality is excellent. I don't think I've ever had a bad curry from here. The Mela naan is the best! (Be warned, it's got a bite)

Had a table reserved for 10:30 on a Friday night. We were surprisingly the only ones in so service was quick. I had the sizzling chicken korma and it was cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend

Lost count of the amount of curry houses I've tried and albeit there's some amazing ones knocking about in town, for the price, the Mela is amazing and remains my go to for local grub and takeaway. ?

Just had another takeout 5th June 22 Off The Sunday Takeaway Special-Food Lovely As Always They Changed Lamb Option To Chicken No Fuss Plenty Of It A Very Nominal Extra Charge As I Wanted 3 Different Nan Breads. Try It , Take Away Or Eat In You Will Love It.
