I have a 9 year old son, with autism, who will run away to eat here! The food is lovely, good portions and so reasonably priced. The staff are AMAZING. I am new to area and I can highly recommend this gem of a chippy.Dietary restrictions: Staff have always been aware of allergens and offer advice on what is available.

Shame use to be such a good chippy - portion sizes have shrunk quality of food also gone down.Twice now I have been served left over lunch time fish re cooked for evening Service on both occasions batter hard and black underneath with the fish being dry and inedible both times binned.Today (15th August 2023) I was sent an article by my son in Wigan today establishments with 1* inspectors hygiene rating!!!! Guess who was second on the list .... Cross Keys Chippy Inedible fish is bad enough but hygiene food preparation and storage is in another league ........ SORRY BUT I WONT BE BACK!!!!!

Went for tea bought fish peas and asked for a large chips. And i asked is that large chips and they all said yes. I paid £6.50 cash. I left and then went to another chippy and bought large bag chips was bigger and they weighed lot heavier than the cross keys. So will check with weights measure next week see what size and weight chippies have to abide by theses days.. so I will give it a miss again and they go that quick they did me out of couple sausages / specials..taken pictures
