If I could have given no stars I would have, the food came out eventually, potatoes and vegetables were close to having frostbite, the gravy was so thick it needed scooping out of the gravy boats and when turned upside down and stuck better than gorilla glue. The Beef was just gristle and gave my jaw a massive ache trying to chew it. Had to ask the poor waitress to take all 3 Sunday roasts away and nuke them in the microwave to get them to Luke warm status. You might take this review as exaggerated but I assure you it is not. I do not recommend this restaurant and am totally disappointed with my experience. Steer clear!!\\n\\nFOLLOW UP!!\\n\\nI responded to manager asking me to email him about my review.....DONT BOTHER!! I emailed him and to this day am still waiting for a reply, my impression is that he responds to your review to make it look like he is interested in resolving/Improving your issue, and then NOTHING. wasted my time for nothing. Will be emailing head office and area manager to make them aware of poor customer service and very poor management skills by their staff in managerial positions!!

Visited The Mount to meet friends for a few drinks and a Sunday carvery. Ordered our food via the app, which was covenient. However, when the food arrived, it wasn't hot, it was warm at best, and we were left without cutlery or condiments. It would have been nice to have been told that we had to get our own cutlery, etc, from the other side of the pub... but we weren't. Also, when you order a carvery that is supposed to be accompanied by horseradish sauce to compliment the beef, it would have also been nice to actually been supplied with said sauce. I would have said something to a member of staff had they enquired, as a matter of courtesy, how our meal was, but not once did they. I'm not really happy.

Our family eats here quite regularly as a little treat. The staff are nice and polite, that’s always a positive. The majority of the time the food is great. Can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but that’s probably my own fault for trying to be healthy and not order a burger.Deserts are always bob on though and the prices are low.Highly recommend any burger and desert overall.

Rooms are in a separate building to restaurant. Food is Hungry Horse chain so plenty of it at a cheap price. Free refills for tea and coffee.Although quite close to M6 and main dual carriage way, room was surprisingly quiet.Staff super helpful and friendly.Rooms: Basic.

The rooms are very spacious, though the bathroom could have benefitted by a better clean. There was scum and mould in and around the bath.Service was excellent the staff very friendly.Location was very good as I was visiting family and needed to be close.

Very welcoming upon entry, although it was find a seat then order at the bar they still told us what we needed to do, lady behind the bar was very friendly and the chap who served us was also really nice and helpful, food came out in 10 minutes and neither of us had any issues with our meals, all really tasty, not the first time we've been here and won't be the last, sadly i am unable to comment on the rooms as we only dined here. Onsite parking was easy to find a space and an overall great dining experience.

An amazing site. The ambiance inside is absolutely decadent. Wonderful and friendly atmosphere from the staff. Impressive food served with pizzaz. TV’s embedded for most tables with family friendly programming. So much more than I expect from a Hungry Horse pub at the same, reasonable price.

Food quantity good. Should have been hotter though. Hand driers not working in toilets. Toilet cubicles have all the locks broken. When I could fit a lock myself, this tells me they cannot be bothered and I just assume that applies to all areas of the business.

Eat in the mount regularly but after the last 2 visits we won't be back, ridiculously long wait for burnt but still cold food that was absolutely disgusting. Also ordered an all day breakfast, 40 minutes later a member of staff came to say they had no eggs and would extra bacon be ok to which I reluctantly agreed, when it arrived it had no beans on either.

Myself, daughter and friend decided to go for a festive lunch. We ordered our food and at no time were we told that items from the menu were not available. Firstly the christmas nachos was supposed to come with smoked pulled turkey. We had to ask where it was. Also my friends and daughters main meal was also missing the pulled turkey and the cranberry sauce and barbecue sauce. When she asked for this she was again told that was not available and when she asked if they had any barbecue sauce she was given barbecue glaze instead. My friend asked for her meal to be taken away and she was reimbursed. I had the traditional christmas meal but the turkey was not proper turkey just turkey breast roast. It was quite a disappointing meal overall. The drinks were really nice though.

We ordered at the bar and were served by Jennifer who was really helpful with our order as I was making some changes to one meal for a fussy teenager!! We had a short wait for food, and one meal came out slightly wrong but this was very quickly rectified by the lady who brought it out. A gentleman brought two of our meals out and was very pleasant and polite. He also checked back on us to make sure all was well - and it really was. All of the kids enjoyed their food, as did me and my husband - it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I was so impressed with the food and the service. I know things don’t always go to plan in these environments but it’s how you deal with things when they do go wrong that determines whether it’s a good or bad experience and the staff working tonight were bang on! Thanks for a lovely evening, it was nice to be able to eat in peace!!

if i could give it zero i would ! we stayed 27th dec 22 till 30th dec , we went fir breakfast in the hotel and when we got back somebody had bern in our room took a dump in the toilet and covered it with loo roll and then left it and put a sign on the door do not clean ! when questioned the hotel said they would watch the ctv and said nothing was there so apparently they have a phantom room crapper so be aware ! there was mould on the criling in the corners and i reported s loose seat that moved when you sat down and again nothing was done .needless to say we will never stay again

Went to the mount restaurant on Xmas day 2022 for the price we paid for Xmas dinner it was excellent value for money the food was delicious and generous portions, we did have a bit of a wait between courses but they were busy no complaints at all and compliments to the chef well done thoroughly enjoyed our experience thankyou
