Another great New Years Eve meal !!! We are regular visitors of the Raj in Springfield, Wigan. Plenty of car parking spaces for those who drive. For anyone who's never been before you'll smell the fabulous Indian food before you get in. The atmosphere is relaxed & comfortable and the food is always delicious. RAJ staff can't do enough to make sure your dining experience is second to none. Our sincere thanks to all the staff including chefs for making it another fab evening.

Indian food is my favorite cuisine, for the past 50 years, I have enjoyed it from all four corners of England and many times overseas, but I can safely say this is the worst food without exception I’ve experienced.The manager came to our table and asked if we enjoyed our meal (we had all had different dishes) we all replied in unison no we hadn’t and politely told him it was very poor, he seemed really surprised and offered us 25% reduction to the bill which basically meant we had only wasted near to £80.In fairness we had dined there approximately 2 years previous on that occasion it was no better than ok, so possibly our mistake by returning which we will not be doing again.I don’t get any pleasure or satisfaction from leaving negative reviews, but feel it’s only fair to leave honest feedback, which hopefully will be taken as constructive.

The food I ordered was Chicken Jalfrezi and it was far too hot to eat. Even when I stipulated I wanted it mild. Also the curries my friends had which was a lamb Karahi and Rogan Josh all looked the same and lacked taste. I was genuinely looking forward to this meal and came away disappointed as did my other friends.The service was ok, but as we were a late sitting felt rushed as they started cleaning around us and with 1 hour to closing this was quite off putting especially when the hoover was switched on. My 1st and last time at the Raj.

I would highly recommend this curry house, excellent starters soft thin lightly crispy bread, curry itself was very tasty just the right amount of flavours and spices. Rice was excellent to. Will definitely go again very soon.Kind
Can only say food was terrible. Ordered south Indian chicken, it was vindaloo hot with no flavor. Chicken was tough. Rice was clumpy. Won't be returning. Can make a better curry myself.
