Enjoyed our breakfast here food was nicely cooked, hot and prices are fair. Service spot on as well. We sat in the front near the road although they gave a lovely little secluded garden at the back which looked nice.

Visited several times now for lunch but mainly breakfast.Could be little more generous but food is decent with polite and courteous staff.Little back courtyard more pleasant in nice weather and better than rather bland interior. But good to have as option in village community xPleasant.

The most perfect scone I have ever tasted - light, fluffy, warm with just the right amount of outer crust... And home baked on site too - delicious...The cakes on offer all looked incredible, and all home baked too.My step son had the biscoffi tiffin, and he said it was lovely. We also had a bacon, brie and cranberry toasted panini -cooked to perfection so the brie was melt in your mouth.A wonderful family run business, with top notch service - cannot recommend this coffee shop highly enough xxx

Weekly treat is a full English with a decent slice of black pudding. Lunch is also very enjoyable.

I visited Barnards having driven past many times and was very impressed. When you enter the restaurant the first thing you notice is how big the building is with it being much bigger inside than it initially appears. There are cakes on view and breakfast items such as croissants. I was given a seat by the lady behind the counter and passed a menu. The menu has a decent variety and is reasonably priced for the quality of food and location. I opted for a full English and a cappuccino. The coffee was served within a few minutes and was perfect. No issues with it being too “wet” and a spoon easily balanced on the foam. The coffee itself was flavourful but not overwhelmingly powerful. The breakfast came around 10 minutes after this. There were absolutely no faults with it whatsoever. The sausage was delicious, the bacon crispy and the mushrooms were seasoned well. The bill in total was around £12. One thing I did notice was that the phone was ringing constantly with people making reservations, so if you want to come here during the busier hours I’d suggest booking a table!
