Busy with a long queue, moved moderately quickly. Not many seats available and some tables needed

I love a Costa hot chocolate and I only visit princes mead out of convenience and not by want. Unfortunately every visit is met with the same bad attitude and slow service. The young girl with the black pony tail is particularly rude. Last time I ordered, I was with 2 other people and as I asked my sisters what they'd like to order, the girl hushed us and said to the group behind if they knew what they wanted to order first and moved us back in the queue. I would understand if it was closing time and we were taking ages but it was mid afternoon and it was hardly and 'hmm' before she piped in and shut us down and she wasn't the one serving either. We waited a long time for our drinks and we never once said much about the slow service or attitude, we just stood and waited. When our takeaway festive drinks were served to us we didn't get the little chocs or gingerbread men and she also slammed the cups on the side, she then barged by us and went off out the back. Most occasions she is rude but tolerable. However this time it felt a little personal and made us feel super uncomfortable. We didn't say anything about our order because of this, we just said thank you and left. I usually find myself leading the hello and thank you and have a nice day part of the customer service too at this particular costa too which I think is a shame also.

Drinks are Costa standard but service is low and staff act quite childish (not saying you have to be miserable but chasing each other / hitting each other when there’s a queue is not very professional) and some members seem frustrated there are customers

The staff are so slow at making the coffee and always seem to be understaffed at busy times and over staffed when quiet . Costa in London are so more efficient.

The service is always rubbish and slow. There's always a queue, the staff are useless and miserable. The don't make your drink how you ask them to affecting the outcome of your drink and me and my mum witnessed a couple getting the wrong drinks given to their table and when one the couple told this girl she just took the wrong drinks from their table and brought it over to the customer that did order it.Those customers that had the wrong drinks they might have drunk from those drinks and she handed those drinks straight to another table if customers, she should of made them new drinks.. not just given them drinks another customers drank out of. Shocking !!!

Nothing exceptional, just common Costa but staff is slow inefficient and rude. Do they know how to smile and say hello? Bad day? All of them, really? ? It also seems that they don't have tissues for customers.

Nice open layout in centre of shopping area. Service was good, there were seats available (approximately 11am). Coffee is standard Costa.....

costa Coffee has gone downhill since the pandemic. They no longer cater for Ceoliacs. Whereas they used to offer sandwiches, wraps, biscuits and bakewells. Do they not realise that if a family go in the shop, They will not stop if they don't cater for everyone

This Costa suffers from a poor team of 'baristas' to whom good service is an unknown concept. The cafe is invariably well staffed, but quite how many can provide such poor and slow service is a mystery. I gave up yesterday and saved myself some money by going back home for coffee and cake.
