“We popped into Red Rose today on the recommendation of the people at the hardware store, it was our friend Kens birthday and he wanted a good breakfast.well what can I say, the lovely lady who served us was welcoming and chatty, she engaged in some friendly banter with our friend and swiftly took.our orders, drinks and then delicious food came out well presented and so tasty. The atmosphere is so friendly and as we went to pay, the lady who had taken our order said would your friend like a cake for his birthday, I'll pop a candle in it for him (he was 71!!) we said that'd be lovely and went to pay for it but ahe shook her head, gave us a huge smile and said no charge. 5 minutes later a large slice of honey cake (which ken said was lovely) came out with a candle in it and everyone in the tearoom started singing. our friend was touched beyond words and said after that he'd never had that happen just for him. We will definitely be back and highly highly recommend. wonderful friendly service, great food and a shop full.of love.”

“Lovely food and happy kids. Unfortunately, the outdoor playarea was out of action as there was an opera performance so good for some people but not for the kids!
However, there's a little park opposite so all well!
Eve was very friendly and accommodating as were the rest of the staff too.
Very relaxed. Nice place to catch up.

“Over the years, Applegarth Farm has changed what it offers. They had grand plans which were sadly hit by the Covid pandemic

My wife and I come here mainly to the deli and farm shop. They have a great kitchen that makes nice quiches, sausage rolls, cakes and salads. They also have a decent cheese counter. In addition, there is a nice selection of food and produce including fresh vegetables. A fishmonger comes here on Thursdays

The restaurant has now reduced hours but Bucci Pizza and Dylan’s ice cream add food options. In addition, there’s a pet shop and an art gallery onsite”
