Went in for dinner and breakfast last week. Such a. Great welcome from Chanelle and Becca. Met the new owner Naz as well who was lovely. Got a free sample of food to give feedback on as well (extra tasty). Indian tapas was great. Cocktails were spot on.The breakfast was *chefs kiss* full of so much flavour and decent portion too. Def worth a visit. Support local!

This charming restaurant is a perfect place for a family dinner.The staff are friendly and accommodating, they even rearranged the table for our pram.The Portuguese starters of prawns and tempura squid were exceptional, recommended by the chef.The berry cheesecake was a great end to a fantastic meal.I highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely family dining experience.

We have been on holiday in the area and have eaten here for 2 nights, having different meals each visit. The staff are fantastic and the food is the same. My wife and I can not recommend Carvalho's Kitchen enough.

Fabulous restaurant that we discovered while staying in the area. Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Such a treat compared to the food on offer at beefeater in the vicinity. Stylish decor, exceptional service and fab wine! Will definitely return when we're in the area again.

We booked to go with friends and to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very attentive and thoughtful. The food, cocktails, and wine was great. We couldn't fault anything. Little gem.
Friendly staff, great service. Good to stop for just a drink or for an entire meal. Can recommend the lamb shank with mash potatoes.... Amazing. Menu is varied with both spicy food and typical English staples. Will be going back.

After seeing this restaurant on Uber Eats and reading the reviews on here alongside seeing the photos on the page, I was very excited and had very high hopes for my first order.It’s very unfortunate that my order was a complete disappointment. The burger was dry, it had nothing to offer and it tasted like it was stale. The bun on the burger was nice than the beef. The beef looked atrocious. It looked like it was just unfrozen and served. The steak was very very bland and average at best sadly. The béarnaise sauce had quite a weird lumpy texture and tasted a bit off. The salad was good but the actually salad part was very small in comparison to just being all lettuce. The chips were the only semi-nice part of my order. I am extremely disappointed and sadly I don’t think I will be ordering from here again.

Went to Carvalho's kitchen for my birthday with my family . Thoroughly enjoyed my special day .The table was decorated with birthday balloons . What a lovely surprise ! . Food was lovely. Service was very attentive nothing was too much trouble .Would definitely recommend. 5*

What q discovery. We have been meaning to visit for dinner ever since it opened, but as busy people we have only just tried this fantastic venue. A small selection on the menu, but it will looks amazing. We had the lamb shank and beef main and both mains were very good. Excellent cocktails, and a great concept of local ingredients and suppliers. All the staff were so friendly and gave fantastic service. We have booked again to go with friends and it is walking distance from home.

What a shame that our recent experience here was not as good as we hoped. We booked in for Sunday roast, the place was very clean, the staff lovely and very attentive, unfortunately the food was not, for us that good. Strange though it may seem there were far too many sprouts and carrots which had a strange underlying taste and colour, the gravy was tasteless and the chicken supreme which I assumed would come with a white sauce came with either mushroom sauce or gravy, both of which were lacking in taste..it looked like the mushrooms were just in gravy? Although the price included puddings there was only either vanilla ice cream or profiteroles which was a very limited choice and if you didn’t like those it was a pricey meal. To be honest we thought it was overpriced for what we had and left feeling very disappointed considering most of the reviews we had read were so complimentary. We won’t be going back, which is a shame. Maybe the owners needs to have a look at how the vegetables are cooked and presented, offer chicken or beef, decent roast potatoes and tasty gravy all in all, it wasn’t the best Sunday roast we have had…shame.
