Really tasty meal. Had to wait for approx 1 hour for main meals but kept informed as large party of other guests there.

First time visiting here and must say it's a lovely pub with great views overlooking Chichester Harbour. Service with a smile and good food.

Four of us ate last night and had a nice evening, pleasant staff, attentive and very sociable, a nice choice of food and we all enjoyed our meals, reasonably priced so all in all an enjoyable evening.

Booked a table for mother's day as we'd previously been here and enjoyed it. The place was very busy. Spoke to a girl on arrival, who went to advise another member of staff of the booking but didn't let us know she had done so and carried on taking drinks orders which was quite rude. Sat down, it then took 25 further mins to be served. The waiter was behind the bar making drinks able to see us clearly waiting to get our drinks and food. Initially brought the wrong drinks. The food was average quality, overcooked and not pleasant. We were offered the dessert menu at the end, left again for another 20 minutes, when they took our order they said they didn't have what we wanted. Running out of one of the most popular choices of dessert just seems like poor planning and then not advising us when handing out the menu was just annoying. He then showed us the specials menu after we asked what the people at the other table had, which he almost found funny that we didn't have the menu at our table and had missed out on the starters and mains. The waiter then said he'd leave the specials menu on our table so the next set of diners didn't miss out...Overall it was too busy and poorly managed with poor service and average food quality. It's understandable that it will be busy and that's fine as long as people deal with it professionally and in a friendly way.

Booked for Mother's day for 3 people. Only took booked tables however the pub was still far too busy. We were seated on a very small table right next to the door, which was often left open letting cold breeze in on us.Waited around 30 minutes for our order to be taken. When we eventually got our drinks it was the wrong ones, which happened to multiple tables.Roast was ok but the potatoes were completely crisp and the Yorkshire was overdone. They ran out of the chocolate fondant dessert and chocolate ice cream eventhough this was early in the afternoon. We also then found out we weren't given the specials menu so missed out on the choice of those meals all together.Staff did not seem interested in helping nor were they very aplogetic of any issues. Would not recommend for a busy occasion.

Visited twice during our stay in the local area. Great pub, the staff are really friendly and helpful, good food and a great location, the boss even bought me a drink as it was my birthday! Definitely recommend this place.

Food wasn't too good , had a roast turkey, wasn't very hot and the Yorkshire pudding was hard and unable. The staff were run off there feet . Such a shame as been before and it was fine .

We had an excellent lunchtime dinner and experience today (Tuesday). The food, in particular the Salmon & Vintage Cheddar Fish Cakes and Beef Rib Bourguinon with Mash, were very tasty and the beef was very tender. Had a side of mushrooms and a superb sticky toffee pudding. The chap who served us was excellent as was the rest of the staff we saw. No problem one of us had a nut allergy so was reassuring.

Can’t fault the delicious speciality burgers, excellent quality beef and tasty accompaniments. Lovely warm fires burning , friendly locals and welcoming staff.

Had to wait just over half an hour. I know it was Mother's Day. But we had booked. A long wait for them to take our order. Then they got it wrong when they bought the food out. The waiter even repeated the order back to us. Wouldn't rush back. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were definitely overcooked. Not enough vegetables and had run out of cauliflower cheese. Think it all got sorted in the end as my son had booked this as a nice surprise. Parking is an issue. You have to try and find somewhere on the streets around the pub

Chronicly understaffed for a very busy Thursday lunchtime. The 2 young men who were on duty did their best with a smile and a brave face.

Still sat waiting for food after an hour, for only two people. Soup, chips, calamari and a roast, on a Sunday. Nobody is here eating so what’s going on???? No excuse other than we’d ordered on the app. Well our drinks came out fairly quickly so what’s that got to do with it. Sadly not the first time we’ve waited a long time for food
