My favourite Indian restaurant to go to. I love that they accommodate to any alterations and even better, the food comes out perfect and so tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered food on Deliveroo.The Korma (Kurma as the app puts it) was what appeared to be watered down cat-sick.The Bhuna was oily and watery at the same time and was thrown away immediately.The onion bhaji was not even warm.The mint sauce was essentially tasteless water.When I rung the restaurant to inform them of the disgraceful quality of the food, they apologised and said they would contact Deliveroo to authorise / permit a full refund. I have just spoken to Deliveroo and they have no record of this - thus meaning that the restaurant are liars as well.Absolutely disgraceful restaurant who should hang their heads in shame and the disgraceful nature with which they treat customers.

I visited this restaurant twice in two weeks. The food is really good, I had the Chicken Dahnsak (no idea how to spell it) with a peshwari naan which has delicious. Although the interior is a bit faded I still rate it five stars because of the owners , who are lovely people, they gently guide you through the menu with humour and grace and they make the whole experience complete. Anytime I’m in Southampton I will always eat here.

As an origin indian,the food was not good and the quality was not to best. Good service but lack of authentic Indian food taste.When restaurant says authentic Indian that means the food should follow the Indian taste as india have legacy of preparing delicious food

I had dinner at Basmati tonight in Southampton (15th July) and I couldn't recommend it enough. I had the Lamb rogen josh and the lamb was cooked beautifully and very tender. The rice and naan were also amazing. Overall a fantastic meal. Will return if in Southampton again.

Had a fantastic sit down meal here for my twin daughters birthday this evening.The staff couldn't have been more helpful, so friendly and they had decorated out table and even gone out and purchased a cake and candles for after.Really looking forward to going back.Thankyou so much.Kid-friendliness: Really welcoming and kind to our three young daughters!

We received our order tonight.. mega quick I have to say .. I’m confused as to why the whole meal was Luke warm at best as it was so quick! It was really tasty ( if you like Luke warm /cold food) very disappointing.. this is the second time our food has arrived cold.. bearing in mind we live 5 minutes away tops! On top of that there was no meat in the keema naan . We won’t be ordering from there again.. twice bitten 3rd time shy !!

Went here last night for a meal.We had chilli Shaan chicken, chicken tikka jalfrezi, mushroom rice, Keema naan and Tarka daal.All was absolutely delicious and made to feel very welcome.

What a great find. Unassuming Indian restaurant but does all its dishes really well. When entertaining overseas visitors they ask us to take them to this Indian restaurant. Can't say I blame them. N B ask for a recommendation never been disappointed with the flavours!

Regularly visit this restaurant, normally great food and welcome. However, the more mature chap that always insists on taking the order was particularly more abrupt and “grumpy” when we visited- I normally ignore, but as the food was mediocre, I felt I needed to comment as there are other Indian restaurants in the area. My chicken Bslti was very sour.
