Whilst the staff were friendly and the food didn’t take long to arrive, harvester has definitely fallen off recently with their food of poor quality and the pricing way to high. My burger was dry and the bun tasted cheap. Especially considering I payed double the price of a burger you could get in Weatherspoon. The salad bar is always a disappointment these days with brown lettuce and bits of sweetcorn in the pasta. My ice cream was fifty percent squirty cream and once again overpriced. There was a time where I would recommend harvester but if I were you I would save my money and go elsewhere.

Came last year after visiting Kings theatre booked a table in advance. Had steak last year was very good. So thought we would come again this year (9th Dec) myself husband and 17 y daughter, and what a disappointment, daughter had a steak which was gristlely,I had Christmas dinner from festive menu,turkey was nice but sprouts were hard as was all the veg,frozen roast pot one was hard,the so called gravey was shameful it was like dirty washing up water,it was pure water,my daughter had beef dripping gravey with her steak which actually was gravey so I had that otherwise my Xmas Dinner really would have been uneadible, it pretty much was anyway,husband had spicy burger which was so spicy he couldn't eat it,the desert a so called Sunday was basically a bowl if ice-cream with 3 frozen profiteroles on top,the waitress was so miserable and was actually unfriendly and cold,we were thinking of booking for Xmas day when we reserved our table for the 9th, my god soooo glad we didn't, will most certainly will not be going back, shame on the chef and the waitress ??

We came her this evening for tea with our little ones. I was disappointed by the quantity of food and lack of attentiveness by the staff. I asked for simply chicken with ragu sauce. I have a chilli allergy and I was asked if I was okay with ball peppers….well yes there are not chilli peppers. I was asked to sign a bit of paper to because I took my own salad from the salad bar all very odd Anyway my dinner came out and I was present with this (see pic). Dry chicken, over cooked peas and gravely. The least appetising food ever. For pudding it took ages to come and by this time I had a toddler who was bored and wanted to go. However it took over 30mins after finishing food to order pudding and have it given to us

For the first time in 30? Years of eating at a Harvester last night for the first time i was very disappointed. I ate at the Port Solent Portsmouth branch. I ordered a burger meal - i ordered an extra beef Patti that was over £3! I could have got the same Size burger and chips alot cheaper at McDonald's! The piece of lettuce was limp and clearly mainly the side piece which you wouldn't eat. The dessert tasted great but at over £6 was a rip off. I had rocky road sundae. It was 80% vanilla ice cream, 15% fresh cream and a cherry. 5% if that the actual chocolate. I might as well paid a third of the price and just asked for vanilla ice cream. At least the coffee was good. Overall price £26 really not worth it.

Why was the toast, jam and butter put on the top of our breakfast and not on a separate plate? And the sausages were well and truly dried out from being kept warm for too long, couldn't eat them.
Michelle was amazing, and made my daughters birthday with very lovely touches. Great with her and attentive to all of us, even though it was busy! We will be back again, and hope to have her as our waitress! Amazing job :)

Vouchercloud terms and conditions not updated therefore unable to use blue light card, unable to use at the weekend but no mention of this until we went to pay. Waited 45 minutes for food in an almost empty restaurant. Food was ok. Server was thankfully lovely. However wouldn't visit again. Spoke to the manager but unfortunately our concerns not really listened to, just a card thrown on the table with a link to TripAdvisor to leave a review. Said 'sorry about that' and ended up paying full price for the bill. Definitely not worth the price I paid for the long wait, mediocre food.

We had a voucher due to a poor experience at another site. This site has restored my faith is Harvester. Beautiful location and the food was lovely. We had 2 servers (shift handover?) , the receipt said Charlie...so him, and also the other male server that was working that section (Sunday 1st, between 4 and 6) were both lovely and friendly and were attentive without being overbearing. Thank you both ?

Terrible service and was told we had a 2 and a half hour wait for food after already paying for drinks! We decided to leave even though we Pre booked the table months in advance. Was greatly disappointed.
