“5 stars all round! My wife and I had an afternoon tea and it was superb! I phoned 2 days prior to book, and the member of staff on the phone was extremely helpful and easy to talk to, answering all my questions regarding the booking.
The afternoon tea itself was great, with plenty of savoury and sweet treats to get through. The highlight being the home made scones, with cream and jam. Everything was fresh and delicious. We couldn't finish all the cakes so took the rest home in a box to enjoy later.
The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. They checked on us regularly, but in a non intrusive way, making sure we were happy throughout. The setting was also very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. On top of this, you get your parking paid for you too, so we had a nice stroll around the grounds before leaving.
I cannot recommend the afternoon tea enough, or even dropping in to get a hot drink or cake, as we have done so many times in the past. Thank you so much for such a great time, the perfect little treat to celebrate our wedding anniversary!”

“Stopped here on a Saturday lunch time. Hoped to get a couple of small meals and drinks, having walked from Chalton. The kitchen was closed due to staff shortage, but the ladies behind the bar explained it wasn't normal, and apologised, which is totally fine. I would visit again just because the staff were so nice. It's a lovely country pub, and I would definitely recommend a visit.”

“What a great find on a Sunday afternoon after travelling, a beautiful roast beef dinner and plenty of veg, desserts to die for and super dog friendly cannot wait to go back .”
