Nice food nothing special. I wouldn’t order anything lamb as it’s so hard and chewy. The wait for delivery is 90 minutes every time. Never seen this before. The people who work there are lovely though.

I've been ordering regularly from New Standard Tandoori since I moved here from London, 13 years ago.The food is absolutely delicious.My partner deejay's everywhere and we really love curries, so we get to try alot of tandoori's across the UK but genuinely, the Dragon Paneer from NST is my favourite ever (thank me later)!! Yummy ❤️ Lovely authentic food and a lovely family business.Will always recommend.*Update* 20.11.22Tried their new paneer starter this evening 'Paneer 65'STUNNING!!!

Been using these guys about 4 years, but unfortunately no longer after recent events. This is the second time where a main item has been missing from an order, meaning we have to wait for this to be delivered before we can eat our food (which is stone cold by the time the missing main is delivered) .. not acceptable when it’s already a long wait in the first place. In tonight’s missing main there was a thick black hair, but due to chaos we’d already had this evening, I could not be bothered to once again contact the new standard to resolve this and ended up having to reorder elsewhere! 100% will never order again from here.. such a shame as used to be a brilliant takeaway.

Ordered food on 01/04/22, the food was as you would expect From a takeaway with a captive clientele. The main issue was that when I ordered the food at no point did they tell me that they could not take card payment, there app just put the order through as a cash payment. When the order was delivered, since I had no cash, I gave the delivery person the option of returning the food in-paid or take on trust that I would pay the money owed when the cash machine was working. I have gone out of my way on two occasions since to pay in person on the 04/04 and 11/04 to pay, unfortunately at the on both occasions there was a big sign on the door saying electronics payment not accepted. I have now just received a phone call that was quite verbose asking me to pay for the meal immediately which of course I have done. The owners and staff are extremely ignorant and I will never be using the takeaway again

The food here was 5* but the last few times we've ordered the food has down hill and it's really noticeable. All the food is underseasoned and underwhelming compared to before , bring back the spices and I will override the rating, thanks much love

Second time of ordering, 10/10 both times, food was amazing and delivered on time using the online portal..............keep up the great food and service.

Ordered takeout today, appetisers were good apart from overcooked dry onion bhaji. Meals not good, meat dry, hard and overcooked in both dishes tasted like reheated precooked especially in the expensive almost £12 mixed meat dish. Tikka sauce tasted very much like a coconut korma sauce. For the £43 spent I was very disappointed and will be going elsewhere in the future.

Found on Google Maps and ordered through Just Eat (will go direct next time!) Lamb ratio in Keema Aloo Chana was a little low, about 25% of the box, as it had a lot of potato. Aloo Gobi also was 3/4 potato over the cauliflower. Onion Bhaji a bit soggy in oil.That said — the food is quite good; flavour is all there, meat quality is good, portion sizes are perfect, well priced, and ready timely for collection on New Years Eve. Collected very easily from a friendly chap at the till. We will be back and try a few other things on the menu. Happy new year!

Placed an order on Monday 21st December at 6.58pm. 75min wait time at the point of order. At 8.25pm I called to see where out order was told it was next no form of Amy apology or anything. Half an hour later still no delivery. It was 9pm I asked to cancel the order and get a refund. The man on the phone proceeded to argue with me about the order and the lateness of the food. Said he would refund me. Still waiting for my refund days later. No sign of it either. Don't order from here
