Really tasty jacket potato with beef chilli and a lovely side salad. Good portion size.

The Thai food was very good, dining area is a bit run down.

Uhhhh...Despite calling 3 times beforehand to make sure my wife could eat, they assured us that she would be fed a Gluten Free Nut Roast. Upon arrival we were told she was to have some sort of soy loaf roast instead and that the nut roast isnt Gluten Free. Not what we had agreed. This wasn't the first time either, the previous time they let us down for the same reason, so we were apprehensive over visiting but we were there for a birthday. If you have dietary requirement, do not trust these people to get your order right. ShameDietary restrictions: Can't cope with Gluten Free very well. It seems they lack proper knowledge.

We've experienced two different menu's, Sunday roast, exceptional and Thai xmas menu also very good. The loos are dated but clean and clean is more important in my book.Would definitely return.Parking: Gravel lot, so uneven under foot. Take care.

A very pleasant welcome as we walked through the door into a relaxed, attractive and well presented bar. The menu range is huge, and certainly the meals we have were excellent quality and well worth the money. The pint was great and served well. No negative comments at all and highly recommended.

The Thai food was excellent. We hadn’t been before so didn’t know what to expect, but the chef clearly knows what they are doing from the quality of the food. We had the sharing platter to start and pad Thai / Masuman curry for main. A lot of restaurants buy frozen spring rolls / prawn toast for cost saving, however these were clearly handmade which makes a massive difference to the quality and taste. Probably the best prawn toast I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Thailand on honeymoon!). Really pleased with the mains too, we were very full.

I went with my mum for a dessert and coffee after my mum's doctors appointment but had a bad encounter with the waiter. He was very abrupt and didn't seem at all welcoming. I asked if it was okay to sit at the empty table. He said it was okay. Then when I asked for the menu he just came to get the order. I told him I wanted the dessert menu he wasn't too happy and told me that he thought we were going to eat a meal. Then finally brought over the banana cake and coffee and told us we only had half an hour when our table wasn't reserved. I was very unhappy paying my money for such a service. My mum didn't deserve all this.

We went for lunch 2 weeks on the trot. The first was a Friday so we took advantage of the 2 x fish & chips for £20 Friday deal. The following week we decided to try out their Thai menu.....absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.Would recommend both ? ?Friendly staff as well.

We have visited before and the food was good but unfortunately not this time. The breaded fish arrived as the tail end of a battered fish, very overcooked and hard. The Pelican burger was also overcooked. The waitress asked if the food was OK and when we explained what was wrong she said she would tell the chef, but no feedback or apology. The desserts however were good.

This is our 2nd visit to the Pelican Inn with two friends, again we found the Thai food excellent, a little wait whilst the meals were prepared and cooked. Service was good with the help from Charlotte the waitress, friendly and helpful.Parking: Large Parking Area plenty of spaces.
