Pubs in Vernham Dean

“A lovely pub in a countryside location on the countryside road between Newbury and Andover, and along the route between villages of Vernham Deane and St.Mary Bourne. The interior is incredible. On the evening we visited, after a day of volunteering at Enham Trust in nearby town Enham Alamein, the fireplaces were roaring and the tables were all nicely set ready for dinner. The menu and specials looked interesting but we weren't eating there this night. Very pleasant welcome and service from the staff (and friendly hello from others in at the bar). One star off only because there was just one real ale on tap, and it was of poor conditioning.Food & drinks: Just one real ale available, and it was in poor conditioning on the afternoon I visited, sadly.”

“Never been to the George before, and had an impromptu visit today. The food is fabulous and the staff super friendly! It’s also dog friendly!”
