Ordered by telephone to collect as I only live across the road from the restaurant. Only had to wait a few minutes well I was early. Pleasant young man on reception and food was tasty and piping hot. Credit where credit is due.

Mixed review for this one. While the food was tasty, well priced and was ready to be collected on time, the after affects were not as pleasant. I can't fault the service or the food while we ate it, it's good takeaway food. Poppodums and naan were delicious as well.My partner and I both had food poisoning the following day. I know it's difficult to pinpoint the exact source, but we don't live together, and this was the first time in 5 days when we had shared food. So draw your own conclusions. I am still not fully recovered some 4 days later.Tried to raise this with Foodhub (who look after ordering and their www site) but up to this point have had no reply.I rarely post against a restaurant if there was an isolated issue, as everywhere has off days, however this was kne of those rare occasions.

These guys are amazing, super friendly and so accommodating. I have been getting takeaways from Bengal Express for years now. Everyso often I try somewhere else just cause but I always return back here as we really like their food. You can order vis phone or web and both work well I once ordered a take away and turned up without my wallet so couldn't pay, they insisted I took the food home before it went cold and arrange payment later.

Delivered hot,unfortunately yet another Indian that just cant provide a VERY VERY hot vindaloo although this was requested over the phone.Butter chicken had no taste to it what so ever and the chicken was dry,the only edible part of the order was the veg dishes.Would not recommend or use again.

Been happily using Bengal Express for years. I don't know if the management has changed - the front of house staff certainly have - but the standard has dropped alarmingly in the last six months. Ordering by phone is a nightmare because the person you talk to doesn't seem to know what is on their menu at all. Generating a credit card receipt seems to be beyond their ability. And worst of all, the curries have become more sauce than substance. Looking elsewhere now...

Credit where credit is due I have in the past given poor reviews but we decided to give this takeaway another chance after a break of more than a year. Wow, we weren’t disappointed have had amazing meals again and much better customer service. We will continue to use this takeaway from now on unless it starts to disappoint again. Really hope this doesn’t happen.
