Although this hotel is some distance from Portsmouth it is in a good location not too far from the motorway. This Premier Inn is not too large and in the town centre. It also has a lift. A large free car park was convenient.

Usual Premier Inn experience, very good. Great location for the ferries, only 15 mins away. 5 min drive from a Morrisons. Had dinner in the pub next door. Usual pub / premier inn fare but service was great.

Excellent service, We all enjoyed it. We are looking forward to come again next year. Customer service was excellent. and the staff cooperation was very admirable. They looked after us like their own family. The only thing which went bad was the free Wifii. It did not work. I hope the management will take notice of it.

The hotel was nice and clean with friendly staff as was the restaurant. However the food was dreadful in the evening making us dread the breakfast but to our surprise it was nice. I guess it depends on the chef.

Overall a good price for an overnight stop. Only downside was the grump on reception before 3.00 on arrival day. That has been described in more detail on the Premier Inn feedback site. Otherwise the post 3.00 staff couldn't have been more friendly and efficient. The Table Table in the Red Lion was good value for money for both dinner and breakfast, the staff there were also friendly and efficient.

Room smelt musty and damp, slept like rubbish as it was just so smelly, tried to get my money back but the lady on reception just didn't care. When challenged about the good night sleep guarantee she said make a complaint on the website, I will not be using Premier Inn again.

Stayed here as easy access to Chichester for a tennis tournament. Hotel is ok, exactly what you’d expect from a Premier Inn, however, the staff were exceptional. When we checked in we were helped by a very helpful gentleman who had lots of advice about things to do. Also, another member of staff (Sara) found out we were staying in the area for our daughter to compete at the 11U County Cup tennis competition with the rest of the South Wales players. Sara then organised some bottles of water and bananas for the team for their second day of matches and put up a lovely sign wishing us luck. This was a lovely touch and the whole team was thrilled!

We stay 4 nights - the hotel is practically from two buildings one old and a new one! We stayed in the old building - in the room was smell of mould, and was another door who could communicate with next room!!!! You could hear everything! Floor crakes everywhere… we asked for room to be change but they been fully booked! Clear we are not caming back! At least we had nice weather!

Room lovely and clean, great meal deal for dinner and breakfast which both were really nice in the pub next door. Stayed for one night and would recommend it. Reception staff friendly and helpful, will definitely stay again.

I was visiting friends of my recently passed partner, so was in need of a quiet stay. In the early hours I found it difficult to sleep, as the extractor fan was continuously on and the ducting was directly above the bed. This was with the light off and the bathroom door closed. I had a terrible night and very little sleep. I reported it to the desk, early in the morning, as I decided to leave early due to the noise. I was given a card to report the issue via "feedback". Premier Inn have responded by saying I don't qualify for their "Good Night's Stay" refund because I didn't report it when I first noticed the issue. they expected me to get dressed, do downstairs at 2am, report the issue, then wait to be moved rooms, if indeed there was a spare one. Apparently, this condition is in the SMALL PRINT, amongst the masses of info sent when you book. The guarantee isn't worth DIDDLY SQUAT and Premier Inn have just wormed their way out of doing the right thing, even though I was upset and grieving for a loved one. This is one regular customer that won't be going back !!
