What a treasure this place is. From the cosy bar with the quietly brilliant cocktail list, to the extraordinary tasting menu, to the comfortable, elegant rooms and the attentive and friendly staff, The New Inn is a real gem in the Herefordshire countryside. I can't wait to go back.

Dinner meal was absolutely scrumptious! Service was impeccable and food was delicious - on par with Michelin star restaurants we have had the privilege to visit in the last couple of years. Particularly liked the cheese souffle to start, and the Herefordshire beef main was stellar. Wine and ambience great also. Highly recommend going here for a special occasion, and will be going back.

The dining experience, especially the tasting menu is exceptional. Honestly can’t fault the staff or dining, but our room was basic for the fairly large price tag and we both found it noisy. The door rattled everytime anyone went past and you could hear pub noise and the table ther guests moving around.

From the moment we arrived we were taken by the ambience of the place while we were met and checked in by Jess and shown to our lovely room. We had travelled an hour to experience the food so hoped that we would not be disappointed. We need not have worried at all. We had the 10-course set menu on Thursday 28th and were delighted with the presentation of every dish and the service from Jess again. Chef Michael Fowler and the team’s food was a delight and not any of the dishes disappointed. My favourite was the beef and oyster with Worcestershire Sauce and mf wife always enjoys scallops and that dish was her favourite. Until we got to the venison, which was cooked to perfection, but later we had the Christmas soufflé which was fabulous. In all a true fine dining tasting menu experience worthy of great accolade. Certainly beyond my expectations of a three rosette restaurant (congratulations on that award by the way). Just to add the wine flight was well paired too and the tasting notes very helpful. We were surprised that there was a different wine for nine of the courses, but the glass volume size was just right allowing us to enjoy the flight in full.

We had a fantastic meal at the New Inn for our work Christmas meal recently. We ordered 3 courses from the A La Carte menu and we could not fault the food, it was presented immaculately and tasted amazing. The service was also good, our needs were attended to promptly even though it was very busy. We will definitely be back!

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to live close to the New Inn. This is where we go with friends, family or just ourselves for a special treat. There are many excellent pub restaurants in Herefordshire but the combination of superb food, beautiful surroundings and faultless service makes the New Inn a cut above the rest. The quality of the food deserves special mention. We've eaten from all of the menus yet are always surprised by the layers and depths of flavours and creative presentation of the dishes. This is not a place to rush your food but to savour every mouthful and relax in the superb ambiance of the restaurant. The recent awards are testimony to the hard working dedication of the chefs and front of house. As long as this team remain at the New Inn the awards will continue and they will remain probably the best in Herefordshire.

After celebrating two previous wedding anniversaries at the New inn one Sunday Lunch and one evening meal we decided to share our wonderful experience with friends . The excellent service by professional friendly staff was an added bonus to the delicious food we ate .It really is a pleasure to eat here and like us our friends we totally recommend the New Inn .
