Fantastic historic pub with welcoming landlord. Excellent food and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Fantastic family and friends meal with our boys. Went for lunch with friends. Had 3 boys under 7 with us. Food was fantastic with clean plates all round. Had a range of meals from Sunday roast, curry, venison pie, fish finger sandwich and Scampi. Puddings were also really nice. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was great value. Nice atmosphere and good service. Thank you very much!

Smashing pub, cosy, warm, well organised pub with the best selection of beer and cider in Ledbury. Had food in the past and that was excellent.

Great pub food (pies) and beer at a reasonable price. Just a good honest pub. We had the pies which were all good.

Popped in for a quick lunchtime pint and stopped for two and some food. Nice warm welcome in smallish pub, good selection of beers and ciders on hand pump and what we had was served in perfect condition and reasonable priced. The menu is not extensive, but to traditional pub fare. The pie and sausages we had was fine, but not exceptional, but a reasonable value for money. If ever in area again would happily call in again.

Over a year since visiting Ledbury. We don't live so far away and have always enjoyed our visits, so decided on a browse and pub lunch would be a nice treat, as we had a day's break. The atmosphere and place was very nice - clean, interesting with helpful and friendly staff. The beer was excellent. So disappointed in the food though. We had jumbo cod and chips, which definitely wasn't jumbo! The batter was terrible and hardly any fish inside - massively overcooked too. Chips were OK and tartar sauce and so on, but it was a very poor and left a bad taste in our mouths and bad feeling, as we reflected afterwards that we should have mentioned our disappointment. Don't think you should advertise Fish on Friday as a special thing unless it is at least slightly special. (it ruined our day a little :0( ) Hopefully you will improve this, as it is very nice in other ways.

Passed through Ledbury on our way back home from Hay on Wye to Leicester. Found this place from a recommendation by a local in another pub (the particular pub had stopped serving food as it was a Sunday). Luckily the Prince of Wales serves food from 12 until late, so for a Sunday we were initially pleased with just that as it was 6pm. Walked through the door and instantly loved the place. A real traditional cosy pub that is clearly loved by the locals. Atmosphere was spot on. After a bit of helpful consultation with the friendly pub staff, we ordered fish and chips and the vegan pie from the specials board. Absolutely banging food! Saved room for dessert, warm choc fudge cake and sticky ginger pudding! Delicious. What a find this place is. If you’re passing through or visiting town, take yourself here for a really traditional and excellent experience. Hope our paths cross again some day. Cheers.

In delightful Ledbury, we chanced upon The Prince of Wales for a quick snack lunch...and very good it was too. The P o W is tucked up a side street (Church Lane) in the town centre, and is a bit 'tardis' like i e a lot larger inside than you'd think from the outside. This is a really friendly local pub with quite a history, and a good range of drinks with a simple bar menu. My wife and I had a drink and a sandwich each, for which I paid £20. The sandwiches were fine - certainly nothing to complain about - but ordinary, so I'm giving this review 4* because of the friendliness and ambience of this proper pub. Recommended.

Good atmosphere, good ales, good staff, good pubbie menu (faggots recommended). A lot is just right at the Prince of Wales. Perhaps more mash with the meals though (please ;)
Charming historical English Pub that still serves locals and visitors great food and wide selection of drinks. Chef was happy to adjust our order to suit our desires. Even our Vegans were happy with a gorgeous curry and chocolate pudding. The atmosphere of a Tudor Pub has been well maintained into the modern era. Will eat here again next time we are in Ledbury.Vegetarian options: Vegan curry was delicious as was sweet potato chips.Dietary restrictions: Happy to adjust menu to match our dietary requirements.

We really enjoyed our visit to this traditional pub. There was a good range of pub grub on the menu - including faggots and some lovely pies - and it was very reasonably priced. Really clean and friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We stopped in for a drink while staying in Ledbury. Small quaint pub serving quite a few ales and lagers. Some gins but not the mainstream ones. Interesting to see but limited space to sit. It serves food as well but we didn’t try it

No-nonsense pub grub, welcoming staff and a very nice selection of beers. Importantly, not just pilsners and IPAs! Regret only being able to pop in for one. Will be back if I'm ever in town again.
