Monmouth’s high street boasts far too many coffee shops, but this one comes out on top in every single way.The atmosphere here is wonderful, the staff are extremely friendly, my cappuccino was made at perfect temperature and it tasted incredible too. In fact, I thoroughly recommend the seasonal roast! When my laptop was taken by a petty thief, barista Courtney singlehandedly ran after him and tackled him to the floor outside Boots. I did wonder if perhaps insulting his mullet was a step too far, but honestly I respect the dedication to quality service.Likewise, as my latte was about to meet its untimely demise at the hands of a gravity-defying spill, Manager Becky swooped in with the agility of a caffeinated ninja, skilfully averting disaster with a swift flick of her wrist. Assistant Manager Maddy, ever the vigilant guardian of all things frothy, stood ready with an arsenal of napkins, ensuring not a single drop was wasted. I am ever in awe of their heroics.

Boxing Day and in an otherwise deserted(ish) town they were open and thank for that!

Went in for a coffee and a cake with my son about 3.30. Full of school kids so I reccomend choosing an earlier time if you prefer a more quiet environment. Cake and drinks were good, service was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful staff, replaced my sons drink after accidentally cleaning at away when we went to the toilet. Standard chain coffee shop experience.

We live in Cwmbran and popped into Monmouth last week to a show, so went for a quick break in Coffee 1, the man behind the counter "Tom" was awfully nice, a strapping lad but with lovely manners and a handlebar mustache to die for. The cakes were tasty and were served to us by a blonde bombshell of a lady who was also very polite and happy with a cheeky little smile. All in all a most enjoyable foray.Kid-friendliness: Its a cool place for kids to hang out.Wheelchair accessibility: flat entrance to the side

Disappointed to find they only use paper cups....YUK !!!! Left without making a purchase. Went to another "famous" place instead.
