We ate early, and on a Monday early in New Year, so only down on stars for atmosphere because we 6 were the only diners. However, really enjoyed my meal and very good attentive service. We will definitely dine there again.

Very expensive for tiny portions given. Food average. Definitely wouldn't go back again. Photo shown of meal cost nearly £19.

Our second time here, it was even better than last time! I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in the area but this is by far my favourite. All the food was delicious and just the right amount. Next time I would probably only have one poppadom each as they are very large. The staff are very attentive and service was quick too. We had are elderly dog in the car as she doesn't like being home alone. So it was great that the meal came very promptly. Get there early if you haven't booked as it soon gets busy on a weekend.

Excellent evening. Delicious food, the warm staff and pleasant atmosphere made it special.

We didn't have a booking but the staff found a perfect table for us. Very friendly and helpful, and the choices were wonderful. We chose prawn biryani and butter chicken, both delicious. Also tried the Welsh/Indian beer, Roar, which went very well with the meal!

Came in and ordered on the off chance. The staff where very welcoming and had my order ready in 10 minutes! One of, if not the best customer service experiences I've had in a restaurant. Best of all the food was outstanding! Will definitely be retuning with the family and can't wait to try the full experience in the restaurant.

It would be easy to walk past The Misbah while concentrating on the narrow pavement outside, but it would be a great pity. The food is very good indeed. I don’t usually eat onion bahji (apologies for spelling) as they’re nearly always greasy. However, my husband ordered a portion (two per portion) and they looked so tempting- no grease whatsoever- that I ate one; delicious. My prawn dansak was so good I could have gone round again if I hadn’t been so full. The servings were generous. According to the bunff a whole host of famous people have eaten here, many making return visits. That’s quite an accolade for an unassuming restaurant, but easy to understand. If we’re ever visiting Monmouth again we’ll be another of the return visitors to The Misbah.

We return to The Misbah every time we visit Monmouth for its excellent food and friendly service. Another great meal, we were even offered the dessert menu (a rarity these days) and had a pistachio kulfi between us. Thoroughly recommended!

Lovely friendly restaurant with an excellent menu. Food excellent, full of depth of flavour. Coriander dip with poppadoms was superb.

Great selection of dishes. Lovely, helpful staff. It was surprisingly quiet given how good the food was, but then the whole town seemed to be. People should really support and use local restaurants, especially good ones like this
