OMG ?The team at The Mill Race - Walford, Ross on Wye. Have done themselves proud once again.The food was absolutely beautifully cooked with an explosion of flavours that all complemented each other perfectly, Fresh local produce at its best !The staff where working there socks off as where the kitchen team all working well as a team it was seamless. The service was brilliant even though they had two new waitresses on you wouldn't have known, the pub was warm clean and comfortable as always, and well I think this is absolutely in the top 2 if not the best Sunday dinner in Ross and I'd go as far as the ukNice one Team Mill Race.

What a totally brilliant and lovely pub. The staff were so welcoming and every little detail has been thought of. The food was delicious too - couldn't have been better. We are a family of 4 with young children who charged about a bit and felt very welcome and like nothing was too much bother - what a great place.

The food was lovely just a little sparce for the cost, a bowl of seasonal veg would have made a big difference, beef shin needed more sauce. Staff were very friendly, great atmosphere. Shame they ran out of baileys ! Would recommend a

What an amazing way to spend Christmas Day! Our party of family and friends chose to eat out this Christmas and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Such a friendly welcoming and pleasant atmosphere throughout the day. Food was amazing, from the hors d'oeuvres to the delightful Christmas Pudding, the food just stood out and everybody commented on how they enjoyed the thwir meal so much, kudos to the chefs! All the stagf were so polite, which didn't get missed by us, so thankyou to all. Thankyou to our hosts Gosia & Ash for making our Christmas Day special.

The first year we have not had Christmas lunch at home. We spent our Christmas Day at The Mill Race, and what a great decision it was too. From the moment we walked through the door we were spoilt. The whole restaurant looked magical and very tastefully decorated. We were welcomed by friendly and professional staff with a glass of bubbly and canapes, and shown to our table. It wasn’t long before the restaurant was full. There must have been around 80 people eating. The place was buzzing and the atmosphere was filled with great energy and festivities being enjoyed by everyone. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The standard of our lunch was exceptional, presentation was beautiful, food was fresh and hot, and plenty of it. The Mill Race team could not do enough for us and they certainly know how to manage big parties, particularly on one of the most important days of the year for so many families. They made it look easy, and from our perspective, it went like clockwork. As a group of six adults, we were beyond satisfied from start to finish. The Mill Race team, from front of house, to chefs and kitchen staff, made our Christmas Day perfect and sacrificed their own Christmas Day festivities to allow us to have a special day. Thank you so much. We will not hesitate in returning next year and highly recommend this beautiful venue.

Went to the Mill Race for their Xmas menu dinner. From the welcome on arrival through to the coffee at the end, the service was perfect. The food was delicious (Turkey), I would highly recommend the Mill Race.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, will go again !!Dietary restrictions: GF options on main courses restricted to fish and chips when we went, but it was a busy Sat night. Otherwise no complaints !Parking: Car parking was tight, but we managed to bag one of the last available spaces.

Don't know why we couldn't put drinks on the tab at the start, Tab was for the food, but had to pay for the drinks as we went along. Then late comers had theirs put on the tab and from then on it all went on the tabWhy??

Annual get together with old friends for birthday and Christmas present exchange. Chose The Mill Race as it's half way between our Birmingham home and their new home in Wales. We were not disappointed by the parking, menu and service we received. Would definitely recommend you visit and we may very well go again, especially when the weather is warmer and we can sit outside by the River Wye

Wow. Amazing. Took my son for lunch today. The service was amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was out of this world. I have been to many restaurants in my time this is certainly going into my top five. I am already planning when to have another visit. I would highly recommend anyone who wants a fantastic meal with great service to try this restaurant Thank you for a great meal and great service.

Expected standard pub grub but received “ master chef” meal. Ordered the pan fried Pork with Celeriac fondant . It was beautifully presented…the Jus was flavoursome…pork cooked to perfection. My husband had the battered fish, again superb…however the minted peas were dry and not a nice texture….maybe a personal thing? However, on the whole exceptional quality for a pub meal.
