Wednesday has to be the new date night! We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Moody Cow, a hidden gem tucked away on the outskirts of Ross-on-Wye. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting and cosy, a real traditional country pub.We were greeted by Chris, who we later found out was the owner. Chris likes to make sure he is hands on and is part of the front of house team making sure everyone is well looked after.The service from all the staff was exceptional, very attentive, friendly and professional.I highly recommend the Moody Cow to anyone in search of a flavourful dining experience. The quality and choice of food was fabulous, beautifully presented and delicious.We went on a Wednesday night which was really relaxing and chilled, mid week dining is the way forward, a little date night treat to break the week up.

Waiters/ waitresses were very polite and attentive.The owner was extremely sweet. You can definitely tell he's very proud of his lovely restaurant. And with the quality of food being served, for good reason.The hake was extremely tender, and the sauce that accompanied it was sublime.The steak and ale pie, was beautifully done. Hearty chunks of deliciously tender steak.I think we can all agree that sticky toffee pudding is a god tier desert. It is my personal favourite desert. The Moody Cow was just a breath away from heaven.The vegan chocolate and raspberry torte according to the wife was delicious.We will definitely be back again

Lovely pub. Lots of points of interest around to look at. Two of us had the lamb roast dinner and one the vegan roast. Very tasty. Portion size a little on the small size. The owner made us feel very welcome.
