We visited today for Mothers Day and had a lovely roast dinner. Portions were very generous and the food was absolutely delicious - I’d say the best roast dinner I’ve had out in quite some time.I’m coeliac and had mentioned being gluten free when I booked but my expectations were well and truly surpassed! I had gf Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and even my own little dish of cauliflower cheese. Then a delicious sticky toffee pudding and custard to finish. It really was amazing!Service was very friendly and quick as well.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free very well catered for

Gem of a local pub in a sleepy village surrounded by great dog walks. We had a curry Friday night which was delicious so had to book our Sunday Roast there and then, which was also brilliant and well priced. Great atmosphere, real fire, pool table. Very welcoming and freindly service. Very dog freindly. It was someone's birthday and we got a peice of cake which was a lovely touch ?

The Royal Arms has featured prominently in our weekend, having used it for a surprise 50th gathering on Saturday and again for Sunday Roast the next day. Claire and Pete are fabulous hosts, and Claire prepared an amazing grazing table for Saturday night with cold meats, dips, fish dishes, pasta and loads more! Sunday Roast was also excellent, and I maintain they do the best cauliflower cheese ever (they even let me take the leftovers home!) Thank you The Royal Arms for helping us have such a special weekend. Highly recommended!

As we were staying at nearby Little Gaerfields Holiday barn, we had a takeaway roast dinner and pudding for 13 adults and 5 children on Sunday 24th Sept 23. This included both vegetarian and gluten free meals. The meals were lovely, tender meat, plentiful vegetables and lashings of tasty hot gravy! Puddings were also scrumptious!Thoroughly recommended ?Many thanks Claire..

Wow...home cooked roast was superb ?The cauliflower cheese was served in a lasagne size dish, gorgeous roasties, Yorkshire puds, roasted veg & tender cooked meat. We couldn't fault it. The four of us and our three dogs were made to feel very welcome and we would love to visit again sometime. Thank you!. ??
