Stumbled upon this coffee shop and so glad we did. A warm welcome and tasty, generous food selection. Coffees were top notch, too.

We were having a short break in Ross on Wye and spoke to a local couple who recommended the Coffee Lounge. It was exceptionally clean and fresh looking and the staff very polite and friendly. We ordered our meals and because they were made to order knew we would have to wait but it was definitely worth it. I don't know what else to say, but if you ever go to Ross fing it and enjoy. Superb.

What an amazing find, off the beaten track in Ross Town but this jewel is a real find. We had the best Eggs benedict we have had anywhere, The cafe is clean, modern, friendly and efficient. The food was amazing and a nice size portion at a reasonable price. We will be back often

We (3) visited Thorns yesterday,Thursday 31 August about 12 noon. There were several customers being served at the time of our visit and we became aware that they were short of staff.However, we were attended to very quickly by a smiley friendly young lady who took our order.The order arrived very quickly considering the shortage of staff. Our meal was hot well presented and delicious ( I recommend their cheese toasties) together with Mocha and Latte coffees which were served hot and were equally delicious.Thorns Coffee Lounge is bright and airy and exceptionally clean.I would recommend, in all aspects, a visit. Thank you to the staff for your exceptional customer service you coped very well in spite of your staff shortage.

Husband and I got the eggs benidict. It's not a traditional recipe but tasted amazing! ? seriously both of my eggs were perfectly poached and delicious! Also got tea which was also perfect.

What a great place! Ross is my home town but living in Wales now. In spite of a notice saying might be a bit of a wait due to short staff, coffee and jacket potato out really quick, super staff and fantastic food and coffee. Back there very soon

After a little spot of shopping in the market, we happily found this little coffee shop. In a courtyard but with lots of space. We ordered some lunch and cakes, along with some milkshakes and enjoyed it thoroughly. Well priced and has great and attentive staff. Thank you.

I was enjoying a coffee and a bacon sandwich last Saturday morning with my wife in the sunshine on the outside seating area finishing off my Telegraph crossword. A thought came to me, why would anyone sit at a table on the roadside outside at so many other coffee shops in Ross on Wye soaking in the fumes from trucks, vans and cars when they could sit outside in fresh air at the pedestrian only area of Thorns Coffee Lounge? I have no idea! The other big plus of course - Its freshly prepared and not prepacked food. Lovely place for a clean air break. [email protected]

I was recommended to come here after visiting the Forest Army Store in the High St. and it didn't disappoint. The cafe was very clean and the staff polite, my order was served promptly, a jacket potato with cheese and salad plus a pot of tea. The potato was fluffy, the cheese was super tasty, there was extra butter supplied and the salad and dressing was really tasty. A decent pot of tea too, it all seemed like quality ingredients prepared with care. A world of difference to what and how some premises present as a jacket spud. Thanks.

Took my two grandsons for breakfast, very busy with only outside tables left, ordered our food, the drinks came quickly then a bit of wait for food ( like I said it was busy) but well worth the wait, my poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The big breakfast looked amazing and filled a hungry 20yr old. Cafe is clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and helpful.Would highly recommend if you are in Ross, they also do a lovely lunchtime light snack menu.
