Stopping for work over the road. The White Lion was recommended as a place to eat. Phoned up and booked a table for curry night! Super friendly service from the guy behind the bar with coloured hair. Really nice dude. Curry was a great choice from mild to hot. I went mid with 3 dishes. Very good value for money.Nice chilled vibe of a pub with outside seating and river to the rear. Quite the place to be in summer so the barman said. Great place staff and food.

Fabulous venue for lunch- Ten of us plus toddler met here ( half way between our homes) for a festive get together. We booked in advance and gave our menu choices in advance. . Everything from the welcome to paying the bill was excellent. Food was delicious service was exceptional and great value for money Thank you so much to all the team at the White Lion. We will certainly return.

Popped in for lunch, whilst driving through the area.the White Lion was recommended by a colleague and it didn't disappoint. Friendly welcome when we arrived, matched by great service, really good quality food at very reasonable prices.A good choice of Gluten free options which pleased my wife too! The view over the river topped off the lunch break.Thank you. We will definitely pop in again, next time we are in the area

Lovely setting beautiful dining room clean and smart! the staff very friendly service was good! food ok Potatoes a bit hard over cooked would of like more vegetables although should of asked for more ! all the meat was delicious however I had the lamb and would of preferred slices of lamb and not pulled! i did not expect that for a roast

A friendly welcoming pub with great service and good pub food. We visited on a Tuesday early evening and it was very quiet but the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was good (curry of the day was ace?) and the service was quick and friendly.Food & drinks: The food was good (curry of the day was ace?) and the service was quick and friendly. The kids menu had a good simple selection and alround the prices were reasonable.

Six of us visited whilst on a short break in Ross-on-Wye. What a great find. The location on the river is stunning. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. A friend had suggested we try Stowfords cider and the landlord gave us a taster to see if we liked it. It was beautiful and we were hooked on it. Our order was swiftly taken by a charming waitress and the food arrived very quickly. We all enjoyed our meals and decided to return the following night. Everything was just as good with excellent service again. What a great fine and I would thoroughly recommend it

Visited here for an evening meal whilst staying near Ross on Wye. Really friendly welcome from bar staff, who happily let us change our booked inside table to a table on an outside, covered balcony overlooking the river. Food was absolutely delicious, excellent quality, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a great meal at a good price in a lovely location. Only sorry we're moving on tomorrow, or we d be going back for more!
