We chose Host for our office Christmas party and it was absolutely fantastic!The atmosphere was festive, which created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The service was exceptional, both attentive and friendly, literally nothing was too much effort, even though we were a large crowd.Let's not forget the food however, which was exceptional, well cooked, piping hot and so well presented.From The Residence Coworking, and all our members, massive THANKS for afabulous evening, we can't wait to return ❤️

We thought the Sunday roast was excellent the meat was really cooked well and the four of us all enjoyed our food. Those who had desserts were impressed with them too.However the drinks we ordered pre dinner were not of the quality I expected. My wife’s gin and tonic was served in a tumbler no ice; no lemon and filled to the top with tonic. It was tasteless. We expected the tonic to be served so we can add it to our preferred taste. And to look appetising sadly it didn’t look good nor tasted good very disappointing. Also the Bloody Mary served to us was of an equally poor standard. The tumbler filled to the brim with watery tomato juice no flavour other than watery. Needs to be improved ASAP.The poor standard of the drinks would not stop us visiting Host again as the food served to us was really good. And we would now say what we expected from the bar staff. But should we have to ?Come on Host sort out those poor drinks. So easily put right.

Absolutely cannot understand why this restaurant is not full every minute of every day they are open!!!The food is superb, from the starters through to the deserts. Let's not talk about the Sunday roast medley.... we'll I will because it is the best roast dinner we have ever had, you just need to try it, you won't be disappointed.Also had the full English brunch also excellent, best tasting breakfast in Bishop's Stortford.Already booked for Christmas Eve and the Christmas party menu.Staff are also very curtious and professional, nothing is too much trouble.Treat yourself this festive period and enjoy ?

I celebrated my birthday on Sunday with family by having my first Sunday Roast at Host. It didn't disappoint, we all had the beef which was so succulent and all the trimmings were perfect. We ordered an extra side of cauliflower cheese and as my dad said it was the best he had ever had and he is 84, so he has had a few!!Already looking forward to the next one.

Had the most delicious Sunday roast I've had in a long time. I'm very fussy when it comes to eating out for Sunday lunch as it's usually disappointing. Not today though, it really was delicious. Great vegs and potatoes and the meat was beautifully cooked. We had the meat medley and all three meats were lovely. Great service from George and all the team were so welcoming. Highly recommend. Thank you Host for a great afternoon, we will definitely return.

A fab evening, booked for a party of 18 for our works Xmas event - dinner in the restaurant followed by DJ and drinks upstairs in the lounge bar. Staff were attentive, welcoming and friendly - special mention to Giles and Lyndsay for your excellent customer service! Would definitely recommend, thank you

Midweek lunch with family (son, d-in-law & grandson). Quite an eclectic choice from Brunch (including full English), Steaks, Burgers, Fish through to Tapas. Sundays also has roasts. Three of us had Tapas which was very good and very generous portions for the price. Grandson enjoyed the full English! I would highly recommend Host but check out opening times. They are not open Monday or Tuesday.

So lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in Stortford. Never did I think I’d have a better roast than a homemade one but Host proved me wrong. Delicious food and excited to try the breakfast soon!
