Nice looking restaurant, with friendly staff. The menu looks great - however, the quality of the food is just not there. Fish was overcooked and didn't taste fresh. The croquettes served with my main were still frozen in the middle.

Such high quality food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You're treated like a special guest every time. Can't beat it. The set menu is extremely good value for the quality.

Exquisite food which is worthy of any Michelin star restaurant in Central London. The food was simply delicious and the combination of ingredients really showcased the skills of the chef. The price was also very reasonable for the quality of what is served. We tried the tasting menu and everything was exceptionally good! The portions were also so well thought out so that you could eat all the courses without being too full or too hungry as has been the case with other tasting menus. The best part of the restaurant is the friendly and kind service by the team. We would highly recommend this restaurant and we’ll definitely be back.

Just returned from St James where we all enjoyed a really high quality meal. Excellent food and great service. This place is a gem that we do not return to anywhere near enough.
Four of us ate at St James last night it was the christmas menue, it was a very disapointing meal. all our dishes were luke warm. my fish had been overcooked, it was sea bass fillet. It had been kept near smoked haddock as it smelt of it. the souffle was the nicest part of the meal. dessert was a slice of christmas pudding which was so heavy and gluteness.the so called butter in a dish was margarine We will not be returning.

We chose St James for our son’s Bar Mitzvah lunch for 45 people. We had a fantastic experience. The food, ambiance and service was second to none. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant for any occasion

A brilliant birthday celebration dinner for 17 -- we had the restaurant to ourselves. The food was exquisite, service was amazing, and everyone had a wonderful time. Kudos to Alfonso and his team for making this celebration so wonderful and creating a special meal for my grandson!
