Had my son's christening here last week, this is out second event here in just over a year. Can't fault this place, food, drinks and service were amazing. Thank you for being responsive to emails and on the day.Everything went smoothly and to plan.Thank you very muchDietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options available which was great. We were also able to amend dishes, which is great for allergens/dietary and children.

Lovely place with awesome staff. Could do with a few more vegan options, but I'm sure that will come in time. Highly recommend.

I arrived for dinner on Mother’s Day with three generations of my family and was informed our restaurant booking had been downgraded to the bar area. Unfortunately what this actually meant was we had been allocated a table in a hectic corridor, with no table service. The brown table was completely bare with not enough chairs and it felt more like a greasy spoon cafe than a restaurant. Totally disappointed, we left.I would highly recommend that in future, Brookmans inform people they may not get a table in the restaurant even when they have booked a table in the restaurant.

Really not worth going to, roasts were no better than a Toby Carvery, cold, tasteless food. More focused on pretty plating than actually making good food. Portions do not match their prices.Frozen pre packaged slices of roast pork not even freshly cut off a joint. GROSSDon't expect nice crackling either. Please check your bill at the end as they tell you their tills don't let them put in set menu so they charge you individually for everything you have instead and then try to take it away at the end. We had to have the bill changed twice to then discover a £60 drop. Can only imagine how many people just pay and leave and don't check. Tried to charge us for 3 course meals instead of 2 course. Nobody wanted to stick around to try their desserts.Service was okay but we did have to ask for drinks twice and them messing up at the end got their star demoted down.On Mothers Day of all days!

Very large pub, so difficult to create a cosy atmosphere if that is what you are looking for. My visit was on a cold and wet day with six of us. Food was very good and the service very well done.

Cant quite understand all the 5 stars here. Food took 2 HOURS to arrive and when it did the meal was tiny, the fish full of bones and potatoes a bit burnt. With a bit of rocket on the side that's a £30 dinner which left me hungry. Service staff were fine but then took forever to come with the bill even though they were standing around doing nothing. Menu too big, place too big. £100 each for basically a half bottle of wine. Wouldn't go back - such a shame as it could be so good.

Just enjoyed a great vegan 3 course lunch, houmous and flat bread to start. I had the mushroom and Leek risotto. My husband had the dirty vegan burger and then shared the vegan sticky toffee pudding. Would highly recommend. Nice atmosphere and decor.

Was at a private function in their event room (didn't experience main pub or their food). Event room was spacious enough for about 50 people. Private bar facilities. Staff were great, polite and easy to talk to. There is plenty of parking at this place.Parking: Plenty of parking but if busy nearby street parking can be found.

We had an appalling Xmas dinner at BROOKMANS. We had some family over from Spain and it was embarrassing. Three pieces of Turkey brown meat two burnt chipolatas, vegetable mush and covered with gravy trying to hide the mess underneath. We ordered 4 of these meals! The starter was a fish cake which looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Cheap meat. This restaurant is a disgrace and I would highly recommend you don’t go there.
