Customer service was appalling, wasnt approached when I walked in. The food was absolutely bland and the beef tasted like rubber. Definitely will not recommend this takeaway spot.

Ordered via Uber eats and I was so disappointed.The soft noodles that we got was so bland.Just tasted like rubber if I’m being honest, 3/10.The sweet and sour chicken was just fine as well.Bland nothing special in my eyes, 5/10.And finally the thai red curry among the three was the best.It had more favour than the rest, 7/10.I think there is lots of improvement needed on the flavour department.First and last time ordering from New East that’s for sure.

great food, delivered really fast, but there was a bit of chicken in the mushroom chow mein, specified on the website that this dish was vegetarian. need to be a bit more careful but otherwise great food.Vegetarian options: clearly labelled, but again, a piece of chicken in the mushroom chow mein. not a huge deal for us personally, but if they can mix that up, they could possibly mix up allergens..

The range of options was good but it seems that most of them are just same food. We got pad Thai and Thai red curry. Noodles was both wet and too-sweet and the curry was like just water and the jasmine rice was not cooked properly. The worst was the staff was rude to us while taking and conforming the order.

Terrible food. Very rude staff. This guy at the counter yelled at us when we asked about the pancake that was in the menu. He was like “what pancake? We don’t do pancake here” when we pointed it to him in the menu he very rudely replied it was not a food it was just a wrap or something for some other dish. He could have just nicely told us that but it was very very rude.

We sat in for a lovely meal. It is partly like taking away but nice to eat there on plates. A pleasant enough man took our order and brought the dishes which were tasty.

This is the best Chinese food in both Welwyn and Hatfield by far, I am sure it would be better than any in St Albans also.Superb food.

Ignore the bad reviews, this was some of the best Chinese food I have eaten in England.Very good service and the everything I had was perfect.From the seaweed to the Crispy duck was all perfect.The smoked Chicken was some of the best I have eaten, cannot reccomend this place enough.If you want Chinese in Hatfield this is the best by far, and also better than anything in Welwyn Garden City or St Alban's too.

This was pretty bad so felt compelled to leave a review.Beef in black bean sauce was rubbery / chewy and tasted old.Egg fried rice was mostly missing the egg.Rice was greasy, veg chowmain was tasteless and dry.

Worst, Chinese I have ever had, rice was over cooked and brown. Meat in chow mein was hardly visible , chicken balls soggy no taste, chicken curry was brown for some reason. A great disappointment and waste of money, definitely not ordering from there again - put me off Chinese food
