Booked a table for 5 at half 7 on Friday night. Got there and the restaurant was closed. Had to then wander round Hertford trying to find another restaurant that wasn't fully booked and was taking walk-ins.Had no contact info as their website is under construction, and the opening hours on Google are wrong. Not sure if restaurant has closed down or has been taken over, but probably shouldn't be taking bookings through OpenTable if you aren't open.

Not sure what's happened with this place recently. Used to be run really well. Had a reservation for 7pm and turned up to a closed restaurant, no lights on, no staff and bins full of rubbish outside. Went somewhere else to eat instead.

This is more of a bar serving mexican inspired food than actual authentic Mexican food. Was seated downstairs and straight away noticed a stong bleach smell and loud bar music. Staff are friendly but a bit slow. Food is well overpriced for what is basically hot sandwiches. No pico de gallo served. Needs improvement.

The starters took a long time to come and then was cleared away before we had finished to serve our mains. They then informed us that they needed us to hurry up because they were going to clear the tables and tune the restaurant into a club.

We sat upstairs which was ‘cosy'. Food was good but a long wait between courses & had to chase up drinks. We were sat by the small kitchen which was churning out the food but not quickly enough it seemed for number of diners up & downstairs. We didn't go downstairs so no idea how many covers they had down there.
This place looked really good online, but when we tasted the food, it tasted out of date, old and artificial. It had a weird smell. Then when I went past the kitchen I saw that the Nachos I had about 20mins earlier were boxed in a plastic box that you would normally put household items in stuffed in the corner. Unsanitary, not fresh and just a complete dive. They were stale. Food overpriced for what it is, probably due to the area. Definitely lives up to the name. No bins in the bathroom.Also, some of the staff are rude, there was only one girl who was really nice and was surprised she could work with such people. Never again!!!!

Good food and atmosphere, staff were lovely! Also been to a few of the events here, the best late night venue in Hertford!! Music is always great and a good crowd

Went with friends last week on a Friday night, food was great and stayed for the event after. Food was great, served with a smile, all had a wicked night! Will be back very soon :)

Great Mexican restaurant in Hertford, quite a small, which is nice but can mean it can be busy. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the local area much better than 'the Mexican'Parking: Limited parking outside the restaurant, however, there's a multistorey very nearby

Booked for 7:30 arrived at 7:25 seated straight away but nobody came to take our drinks or anything for 20 mins. Whilst sitting there waiting I saw and heard the waitress apologise to 3 tables for either food that could not be honoured (broken machinery) or for food that had arrived at tables cold. Tables are so close together it’s like your eating with people you don’t know. In factIt was the lady sitting next to me who told me the food had been really bad so after waiting I took this as as sign to get out and spend my money in another restaurant. Shame as it was my birthday and we would have spent well so that’s money that went to another restaurant and not Dirties.Also just to add the music was so loud you can’t hear or have a nice conversation. It’s a place to eat Mexican not a club it really was strange atmosphere and I would not ever want to go back even in a quieter time.
