The good - staff are really nice. Fran served us and was engaging and attentive.Bad - the food. We weren't told when we booked our table (3 weeks ahead) that it would be a curry night. Would have gone on a different evening if we'd known. Choice of 3 curries that were dry and fairly tasteless. Garlic naan was a couple of little bits of bread resembling discus in look and texture.£43 for two courses if curry and a couple of drinks.Wouldn't go back

This was the perfect end to our 11km Saturday morning walk from Welwyn Garden City. We arrived a little early for our lunch booking so sat in the bar and had a couple of pints from a very nice selection of craft beers. It was very busy so would definitely recommend booking. Both our meals were absolutely delicious (sausage and mash and the venison steak). We were both far too full for dessert. Friendly service and a lovely busy buzz - seemed very child friendly, there were several groups with young children. Looked to be a nice garden area for when the weather is warmer. Will definitely return soon!

Wonderful service from Lauren made my nieces birthday even more special.
Lovely cosy atmosphere, excellent food and wine and great service. I had the chicken wings, followed by the venison pie - both delicious.

Beautiful pub, but real shame about the price. Family of four, 4 large Diet Cokes; £18!!

Popped in for a pint and a sandwich, it was quite busy for a Wednesday lunchtime but didn't have to wait very long for our food.

Just had our Evening Christmas Dinner with extended family. Easy to book, way above average food and service. Would recommend for both food and drinks. Thanks to all who worked at Lytton Arms for a great evening and meeting the dietary needs of some of the guests.
