Was served by a lovely young lady looked around ages 16-17 dark black hair. Was absolutely lovely to me, my husband and my children? Lovely young lady and was very helpful taking our plates and overall made our first experience here very pleasant

Very disappointed today, used to love going to the Wilbury and then the Gardeners Arms, used to get a warm welcome a good carvery and great service.\\nToday, walked in and waited at the sign, a very young waitress asked if we had booked, three of us, we said no we hadn't so the waitress who wasn't expecting that answer had to get another waitress to seat us, but only after checking the tablet for about three to four minutes, when it was very obvious where the empty tables were!\\nWe were seated and as there seemed to be queue for the bar I downloaded app to order drinks, not much, just a Diet Coke, glass of wine and a coffee, simple. after waiting for an eternity, put it this way the table next to us had gone to collect dinner and eaten it, I went up to the bar to ask where our drinks were! I was greeted by a 'boy' who looked hardly old enough to be in a pub let alone serve in one, who pulled a string of receipts off a printer stating it was nearly our turn, three drinks and a near 20 minute wait.\\nEventually the glass of wine and coke were brought over by the 'boy' but no coffee, when I asked where the coffee was I was greeted by a 'tut' and a 'huff', now I'm a patient person but this was getting a little annoying, the coffee was brought over black handled by the mug and a pot of sugars! oh dear, can we have some milk please, again a 'huff' and two minutes later a pot of milk.\\nWell that was enough for me, we drank up and went elsewhere to eat, total lack of customer service, urgency, atmosphere in the place and no staff who looked over the age of 20! they seemed to wander around aimlessly, picking a glass up here and there, and serving the bar customers rather than those who had been seated.\\nI can't tell you what the food was like as I would still be waiting for it to arrive 4 hours later, someone needs to get a grip and supervise the staff, but it seemed like no 'grown up' was present.\\ngreat shame as this was a nice place to eat and drink with a good atmosphere, but now a 'chain' has it and it's been ruined.\\nI will return again but perhaps not for food.

The place is a joke, I ordered my food and drink at the table, should I mention that I paid for it then also, the food came out about 45 mons later and the drinks I had to go and ask where they were, so they brought out 8 of the 9 dinners and left my 7 year old without dinner, so about 10 mins later I had to go and find where my daughters food was( fush fingers and chips) it was on the side I took it to her, we ordered chicken wraps and there was just about enough to fill half a wrap!!!!!! We also ordered a fish and chip platter, well we got a over cooked sausage ( since when did a sausage come from a fish) well should I say a black sausages, I spent nearly 200 pounds on this for my partners bday and my sons 20th birthday, who ever considers going here please think again, I will not be ever coming back. The service was a joke!!!!!

Booked to have our Christmas Dinner here again for Christmas 2021. Came here a couple of years ago and it was great but this year it was even better. The food was delicious, the meat practically fell apart and melted in the mouth. The range of veg was vast and it was all cooked to perfection. The staff were super efficient and really friendly. We will definitely be booking for Christmas 2022.

Great Carvery and I mean 4 star!!!! and the pizzas are amazing. Plenty of seating and a quirky little pub. Great value for money and a really friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

One of the best pub breakfasts around, food was lovely, venue was clean, staff was welcoming, the only downfall was you had to pay extra for mushrooms when they’re usually the cheapest of all items ?but then they turnt up cold.

A beautifully isolated large English pub which is modernised with wonderfully friendly and affable staff. Lilly was extremely personable and helpful after I went to visit my grandfather's resting place across the road in the local cemetery. A peaceful and tranquil consumer experience. Highly recommended.

Ordered from Uber Eats. I gagged when I saw the bag said 'Stonehouse'. Not one mention on Uber Eats website about it being Stonehouse - I would have never made an order as myself and partner just do not like the food.\\n\\nThe chicken wings with peri peri on them tasted vomit inducing, I attempted a bite on one and threw the starter in the bin. The mushroom starter didn't come with the garlic mayo sauce I'd ticked the box to on Uber Eats, the beef on the carvery was 80% fat 20% beef and this literally turned my stomach. So this all went in the bin other than the mushrooms that my partner had as he was hungry.\\n\\nHonestly, in my opinion, the food is very low quality and I dislike this chain. You really should advertise 'stonehouse' as opposed to \\\"Wilbury (formerly known as Gardner's)\\\". I honestly mistook this meaning you were an individual pub with a name change and I shouldn't need to Google Wilbury just to check if it's a chain, you should make it clearer...A waste of £26

Visited 1st Feb at 1.00 pm. Beef looked as if left over from day before, shrivelled and dry as a bone. Good portions and plenty of meat but everything, including the gravy was cold. Temperature spoilt what otherwise could have been a good experience
