We went recently and had a great time. We have been coming regularly since it was refurbished. The food is really nice, place is done up well and service is good. I'm not sure if he is the maitre d, but Dwayne is a top bloke! A very helpful and friendly man.

I used to go here years ago before this place was beautifully done and taken over by the new owner. I must say back then the food was worse than anything I’ve ever tasted. Today I had one of the most delicious beef burgers I have tasted. I’ve also been there for Friday night jazz and what a wonderful atmosphere. Our server the lovely young lady who was serving outside sorry I didn’t catch your name you were phenomenal. My only advice is please clear the dishes much sooner rather than leaving them for too long. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you .

My worst ever Expresso Martini, very watery and expensive. The place looks nice but is so boring and the quality of the cocktails is very bad. The atmosphere is sick, no music to make it a nice experience. You can only hear other's people conversations and scratching their plates, what a "great" fun. But unfortunately that's the case for almost all pubs in the UK. That's why I prefer travelling abroad, where is the real fun and spend very little money on going out around here.

Very disappointing lunch. Most of us had the "bloody mary prawn cocktail" which paints quite a picture but turns out to be tiny shrimp with some sort of seasoning which mimics the bloody mary flavour. All served on tons of iceberg lettuce (which lasted far longer than the "prawns", and finally a couple of actual small prawns thrown-in to try and make it worthwhile. An expensive fail. Then, having asked for Fish & Chips for the Main course, the waitress tells me there isn't any fish available today. Ok, fair enough, and I ordered something different. However, I then see other people being served with what I'd just been told they didn't have, so I asked again...Apparently a fresh batch of fish had been delivered to the restaurant sometime between the waitress telling me there wasn't any fish, and 5 minutes later when I dicovered there was! Anyway, the fish turned out to be just as appealing as the "prawn" cocktail starter.... Didn't bother with dessert.. Some of my party thought the food was okay. Personally I wouldn't waste money eating again at this establishment. You can get better for the money..

Nothing in the fridge from returning from holiday what’s not to love having this little gem of a place that once you’ve finished eating you can continue a drink in the bar area.

Have been quite a few times since the refurbishment and it's been good to get good. Re the food, I found the beetroot smoked salmon starter generously portioned, nicely presented but bland in taste (needed more seasoning and/or something acidic) - and the Bloody Mary Israel cocktail was also bland. There was no bread with either and we were told we'd need to order a basket, which we did ... only to find that meant 4 very modest slices of toasted French stick + an even smaller dog end, hardly a basket but we thought it was just complimentary (see later). My steak sandwich was OK, nothing more - thinner and fattier steak (including 1 inedible chunk of fat) than at various comparable, or even less fancy, pubs where I've ordered the same. We had pointed out the original bill was undercharged (by £20) and spotted when we saw the revised, itemised version that 1 main course salad had been put in as small, when we had already clarified it as large - they said not to worry and that a large would be provided at no extra cost, which seemed decent, given our honesty. However, it was only minimally bigger than the other, small one - and to cap off the general disappointment we were presented with a separate bill of a rip-off £3.95 for the paltry offering of French stick (and butter). Almost as if they were saying 'Thanks for your honesty but we're not the least bothered if you return or not'. Service was ok but clearly where we sat is not viewed as melting much attention, even though it's by far the easiest for my 94 year old Mum to get to.

Came here for a first birthday party and the staff were very friendly. Lots of parking around the venue. Separate function room available. Decent catering. Outdoor seating is available.

Had been for a pub walk &drink previously but first time eating. And what’s not to like! Good looking restaurant, great food and lively ambiance. Had the thai salad and salmon. The latter in particular was perfect. Will definitely return.

I wanted to say thank you to the entire team at The Three Horseshoes for making my 60th birthday party such a success. With 76 guests, it was important to us that the food was served promptly and served hot. It was important that the meat was tender and everyone’s menu choices were adhered to. Gary, Mandy and Dwayne patiently listened to every thought and concern that we had, prior to the event. They then proceeded to pull off the miracle of ensuring that all of our requirements were met. In the end, our day surpassed our best expectations. The serving staff were a delight but the hero of the day was Chef Mandy. To cater for 76 people simultaneously, in a restaurant kitchen, was certainly no easy achievement. I appreciate how challenging it can be to provide a three-course meal to 76 guests who have ordered from a menu and who are seated at the same time. I have run large catered events myself and I know how much easier it is when there are multiple ‘seatings’ throughout the day and when you have the luxury of a substantial hotel kitchen. To get it right, with the limitations of a smaller restaurant kitchen and with 76 customers all arriving simultaneously, is a credit to Chef Mandy and her team. Well done Chef, you were a superstar. The food quality was impeccable. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and that allowed us to use the outdoor seating, as well as the main restaurant. Our guests were full of compliments for the food, the setting and the ambience. The wine flowed freely all day and when the bill eventually arrived we were pleasantly surprised that our pre-paid deposit was spot on and there was nothing more to pay. The staff could not have done more and we are so grateful for their remarkable endeavours. A special call out to the warm and friendly bar staff too. Finally, thank you to Phil for your patience and input in the weeks leading up to the event. We will return to the restaurant very soon to enjoy a family meal but perhaps with 70 or so less guests. Meanwhile, please can I pre-book my 70th at the Three Horseshoes in July 2033. Regards Lane
