Very disappointed ordered takeaway the lamb was raw not cooked properly and smells badly, garlic bread was burned ? chips taste overcooked dry very disappointed didn't expect that..the food not fresh at all only tzakiki and beperia kokkina worth it!

Ate here today with husband. Service was great and staff were so lovely but 1 hour after eating here, I couldn't stop going toilet, throwing up, and really bad tummy cramps...I did think the lamb tasted a bit strange but I thought it might have just been the spices...Husband is in the same conditionIt's a shame, £129 has gone down the drain...litterely

I am unsure whether we had an outlier experience. The staff appeared disinterested in us (despite being the only table present). We ordered the set Meze for four and the majority of the portions were small and overcooked.The only saving grace was the swordfish which was delicious. However with the competition in St Albans Bar Meze might need to step up their game.

Lovely birthday lunch. It is my third time here and the food was beautiful again. The food is fresh and delicious (I recommend the sea bass), staff are welcoming, good atmosphere for an occasion, and they even kindly opened the restaurant Monday afternoon to accommodate us, even though they are usually closed!! Thank you Bar Meze ?

My partner & I went to Bar Meze this evening, we truly cannot recommend enough ! We shared the mixed grill, swordfish, the Egyptian pastry and we were given the most incredible garlic bread and dip by the chef on the house ! You could taste how deliciously fresh and homemade all the dishes were, the chef also brought out some of the plates himself and explained what he’d made and what was in everything. A real family feel, the staff were absolutely lovely. A must visit for anyone in St Albans or visiting the area !

12 of us booked Friday evening. The food was very tasty, especially the home-made Taramasalata!. Waiting staff were cheerful and friendly. I t's a cosy venue and the evening was topped off with music and dancing. We had a great night! Thank you! Badders xx
Superb food!! Absolutely beautifully fresh, so tasty, and the service was impressive! I called for a last minute table reservation and was very happy to be able to visit. Great selection of dishes , Greek/ Turkish , all the favorites on offer. The fixed price menu is good value and the venue clean and attractive . Staff are attentive and friendly. We have met there several times over the years and it’s always a success and delicious . What’s not to like!
