Had very high hopes for Dylan’s considering how highly it came rated from friends and family. Albeit it was very close to Christmas, but the service was very rushed and it felt like we were being ushered to leave promptly. The food was good, but sadly in my opinion not up to the expectations I’d had based on reviews from others. It was the Xmas menu and I had the duck and chicken Scotch egg. Would perhaps try again later in the year

A good atmosphere. nice place. but drinks are too expensive. Pease have a few more seats So you can sit down.Dietary restrictions: Didn't eat, but I hope you have a gluten-free option, so I will come back.

Hands down this was one of the best Sunday roasts I had so far! Delicious food served in a very festive decor-the pub is beautifully decorated and the Christmas crackers were a very nice touch.The food is simply just sooooo delicious. I opted for the confit duck leg with butter beans and all the nice sides too- all washed down with tasty mulled wine. Ended up in style with a very nice dessert. The service was impecable from start to finish which mafe our dinning experience so enjoyable.

Really great little gastropub (although I'd class it more as a restaurant). Service was fabulous and the food and wine delicious. Visited on a weekday for lunch with my husband and baby and were very well looked after. The place is small and very popular so I would recommend booking, especially for dinner reservations. Pricing is definitely on the high end, but well worth it for the quality. Would return again.

What a gorgeous pub/restaurant, lovely warm welcome and every single course was amazing. We had the Sunday roast and a couple in our group shared the prime rib, everything was delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a fabulous time at Dylan's for a Sunday roast. The food was superb and our wait staff, in particular Olivia, couldn't have been more friendly and attentive! The best Sunday roast in St. Albans and a lovely cosy pub.

Top notch roast dinner, all the elements well cooked and presented. The gravy could be bumped up to more unctious levels. friendly and attentive service. Lighting choice could up the atmosphere to 5. Definitely going back for more roast.

Outstanding experience. The lamb was sublime as was my friends steak. Atmosphere fun and buzzing. Very attentive staff and they make good cocktails.
One of the best gastropub experiences I had in a long while. Most delicious food, great wine, great service and delightful setting. Must go back during Christmas season to taste the rest of the menu and have a drink at the bar overlooking the street.

The best roast in St. Albans we've had. The food was delicious and the service was great. One of the waitresses seemed a little annoyed but I'm not sure why. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. Everything we had was incredible. We shared 3 starters and each had a roast. The cauliflower cheese and the crunchy roasties were the highlights ??

What a great place Welcoming staff Warm friendly room Great menu - tried the Specials - the Mushroom Veloute was amazing as was the Cod Fishcake - we both had the Wild Boar and Apple sausages with the most delicious purée potato with a really outstanding gravy Thank you Lexy for your welcome That coffee was the icing on the cake A perfect Autumn lunch ;))
