Of late the quality of the food has deteriorated to the point we won’t be using this restaurant again. For example we ordered a bhuna which looked like soup and was very greasy as were the other dishes. The poppadoms tasted odd and the naan bread was dry. I imagine the chef has been changed. nice ambience and food was ok. Service was a let down. We sat for a while after we had finished eating and no one approached us for extra drinks or the pudding menu. Food was just ok although the lamb we had was very well cooked.

Under new management, Saffron has certainly improved its dishes and flavours. Best tandoori mixed grill I have had in a long time. Everything was piping hot and presented beautifully. Highly recommend. Don't be put off by the look of the outside as inside you get a warm, friendly welcome and great food.

So I was excited for a rare occasion with the wife child free. What a disappointment, raw chicken, flat and tasteless house special. I'm so lucky my wife is amazing, she made the night as always shimmering her assests! To be fair the service and the beer was good.

Would love to see the deluxe version brought back and would be happy to pay more for better quality and choice.

Great curry house, good selection of curries and the staff were very friendly. Cobra beer on tap which is good, and comfortable seating. The rice portion on the biryani was very generous, so avoid if you can only manage a small portion, and the curries we had were very mild so would suit those new to curries or who don't like spice. That being said we didn't order the hotter end of the menu so I'm sure they will crank the spice up if requested. Would recommend this and will go again if in the area.

What amazing service. My granddaughters had never been to an Indian Restaurant so we opted to try it out. The gentleman that served us was super he made them feel so comfortable and recommended what was good to eat. They did a show with a salad which was stunning in itself. All in all I cannot thank them enough for the amazing experience, worth every penny and we will be back.

The worst restaurant ever!!! Went with my family. Ordered mixed grill, lamb chops and aloo chana chaat for starters. .. nothing tasted nice and the portions were extremely small for the price charged. For mains we had lamb karahi n tandoori tawa chicken along with tarka dhaal. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER!! Lamb karahi only had four small square pieces of lamb.. the chicken dish was full of red food colour and the tarka dhaal was a thick tasteless soup. To top off the bad food, we ordered 4 large Cokes, which were totally flat. When we confronted the waiter/ manager he was very rude and confrontational. No such thing as customer service, save your money and avoid.
