Ed has such an amazing selection of cheese and has a wealth of knowledge about each one of them. We hosted a French wine tasting on the weekend and Ed provided no less than ten different French cheeses from all around the fromage capital of the world! From Brie de Meaux to Comte, Munster, Roquefort and Camembert, our customers were delighted with the broad selection from so many regions. Fleetville Larder is definitely THE cheese specialist of St Albans.

This is a nice friendly little deli cafe. There are a lot of nice items to buy like coffee, sauces, chocolates, dried pastas etc and a few tables where you can sit and grab a coffee and sandwich. Staff are friendly and it has a nice relaxed rustic feel and atmosphere. Well behaved dogs are welcome and there were three in there when we visited. I would happily visit again if I could find a free table :-).Dietary restrictions: I had a flapjack as I’m coeliac and they don’t cater for that… however I wouldn’t expect a tiny place like this too and it wouldn’t put me off visiting again for a coffee.Parking: There are parking spaces on the street outside which are free for one hour I think.Kid-friendliness: There were children there when we visited.

Great place to go to fill a Christmas hamper.

The food is delicious and the options are great, but the owner always seems grumpy. I’ve unfortunately never known him to be friendly although I do understand it’s a stressful business. Nevertheless, a smile to a customer goes a long way - with that and great food, the custom will grow! I don’t think I’ll go back. There are quite a few friendly cafés around.

What a beautiful surprise. The cafe, staff and food are beautiful. We were made welcome but not over the top. The food was so delicious. The coffee was great. Lovely gifts available too. If we lived closer (we’re 2 hours away) we’d definitely be returning. Thank you!

A St Alban's gem. Great coffee, service and excellent cheese and wine selection.

Great customer service and reasonable priced

Coffee is good, and good value, on most occasions, but sometimes not so good. Maybe a complaint would get you a replacement, but better if it's right first time.

Nice coffee, lots of local produce available.

Despite the limited space available I can always find somewhere to sit to enjoy their quality coffee and avocado on toast to die for.

Spoiled for choice here. The offering is magnificent - and if they don’t have it, they will try to find it. Don’t leave without buying a cup of coffee to go. It’s the best cup in St Albans. By far!

The fleetville larder is a lovely shop, in st Albans. It sells cheeses, coffees, foods, wines, like a small Deli. The atmosphere was really nice, quite busy, and the staff were very kind. They were very helpful, and the whole experience was great. The cheese selection is large, and the taste of them is great. They also stock confectionary items, like shortbread biscuits, and Tony's chocolony. The only fault, was the price of some things seemed a little excessive, ( Tony Chocolony was 4.75 compared to 3.50 in tescos) but it is a smal local business, so that seems reasonable for it to be a little pricey. Overall, a really great shop, and will definitely recommend, and go back to.Vegetarian options: Lots of different food and drink options, and great for all.

The most wonderful cheese in the city! But not just cheese...an entire larder of delicious treats, with friendly and attentive staff, and a welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Plenty of quality vegetarian cheeses
