It was my first time in the town and this was the first place I entered. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the smiles . My cup of tea tasted so much better with everything around.

I love it here, always welcoming and warm. Prices aren’t cheap but are competitive and usual for the area. Cakes are delicious. Selection of teas is varied. Such a fun cafe, lovely to have on our local high street!

5* I traveled up to here for a friends baby shower, and it was truly amazing! Staff very friendly, food was amazing and I have a nut allergy which has meant in the past I couldn’t go for afternoon tea at other places as they Couldn’t cater for my nut Allergy. The Queen of herts We are very catering and made sure there wasn’t a risk of cross-contamination Which means I didn’t have to worry about my food and I can enjoy my friends baby shower. Definitely recommend and I might even travel the three hours to go there again as I’m not from Around here.

I had afternoon tea here with a friend today. The food was delicious and plentiful- we could have had top ups of scones and did have a top up of tea. We did not feel rushed at all.The gluten free afternoon tea was lovely and I was asked if I would like something instead of the chutney in my cheese sandwich as that was not gluten free, which made me feel safe about bringing a coeliac here. All in all a lovely experience.

We booked to have a 16th Birthday afternoon tea in one of the private rooms at The Queen of Herts' and were so pleased we did ?Andrea was amazing! Was so friendly and adapted sandwich choices to suit all ages present. The service was outstanding, nothing was too much. The Gluten free option was as similar to the muggle version as possible so I didn't feel I was missing out at all. Tea choices were exciting. Thank you!

Did an afternoon tea with a 6yo and she absolutely loved it! She has an allergy but they were really good at checking ingredients and communicating this to alleviate my concerns. There were little things hidden for her to find that linked to the Alice theme. The lady who served us was phenomenal - friendly, helpful and just couldn't do enough for us. We even got a glass of child-friendly fizz so she could have some with me. The food itself was delicious and good value; the scones were absolutely scrumptious! The rainbow bagel was an interesting addition that I requested too!Couldn't fault the experience at all.Dietary restrictions: They were very helpful in communicating and checking requested items in a less obvious way.Parking: On the street parking for 1 or 2 hours (can't remember)Kid-friendliness: Staff were amazing and the decor was very kid-friendly

I had the most perfect salmon & cream cheese sandwich I’ve ever eaten on brown bread, served on the prettiest of plates. A delicious Flat White Coffee warmed me along my Sunday run/walk across the fields & into Redbourn, The Queen of Herts is a perfect cosy place with a great selection of drinks, food & cakes. My footwear was thick with mud so I took them off at the doormat inside, felt quite at home.Such friendly, warm & welcoming service, thank you. I’ll be back for a go-to place as a treat on a cross country run, walk or bike ride. I will have some fab cake next time! And the next…..
