I absolutely adore the 3 meat roast - best mint sauce I have ever had also. Vast selection of beers and ales on tap, lovely wait staff.

We love Charlotte and her welcoming staff. Decent range of beers and wine, with good pub fare! Garden area is a lovely spot in the summer.

Lovely, warm service and the 2 stars are for them. The food was godawful. I ordered the halloumi burger which was a couple of small pieces of dried up halloumi on the words cheapest bun, quite literally crumbled on contact with my fingertips, some underdone aubergine , a minuscule slice of pepper and lettuce. Chips were fine. I wish I’d taken a picture to share the agony but was busy drowning my sorrows in a fairly decent Malbec. This is a really nice pub, and the food used to be great back when it was the Foragers. Now it’s very bad and expensive for what it is. Would cheerfully return for a drink, but lesson learned regarding the food.

Went for a Christmas meal as a large group. It was a raucous atmosphere due to the carol singing event that was going on, but this added to the fun. The staff were friendly and efficient, and served us well even though we were a large group and the rest of the pub was so busy!

Very warm welcome by all the staff. Food was a little disappointing as some items were substituted and not mentioned beforehand. Also, our food was quite salty. Lovely quaint pub situated in the lovely St Albans and staff were so polite and courteous.

These guys took a large booking for my birthday at really short notice and honestly the staff were great. Atmosphere was spot on too. Thank you for helping me enjoy a lovely birthday!

A great pub within walking distance of the friend we were visiting. We couldn't go to his usual local as it didn't do lunch on a Monday, but this proved to be a great find. Almost made me wish I live in St Albans! Very friendly staff, good food, good choice of ale.

This pub has improved on previous ownership but stick to keg beer as the cask is obviously sponsored by Sarsons.

We dropped in for a quick lunch after a dog walk in the park. The food was excellent and great value. We’ll definitely be back especially as Charlotte is very friendly and made a big fuss of our dog.
