Lovely little pub in beautiful village with food concession outside, will definitely come again, some tea lights in the darker areas would be really nice and cosy and would make it more

This village pub is a delight to visit. It’s under new management. The new owner is highly welcoming. There a lovely gated garden - great for if you have small kids in tow! Dog friendly too. Will visit again.

Loaded chips chilli style dripping in Mozzarella is pukka for 8 quid...you will never freeze in this gaff ...you will find yourself stripping off when the radiators are on...& dont you know they have a great pool table too ....parking is limited with a small garden area ?

Honestly, it was a horrific experience. The landlord Gareth threatened to manhandle me out of the pub after a quiet night with friends after he felt I should be barred for a comment I’d made 6 months ago. Let’s put this into context, he’d previously barred a local man for not drinking up quickly enough and was a bit lippy. I’d said to the man, don’t worry about it too much you can always play pool in our local club instead if you need to practice. I didn’t get spoken to or barred. That was it. So 6 months later I’m at the open mic night sitting quietly watching my friend sing and play and he comes in and smiles at me. Then 1 hour later I went to the bar to order a drink and he says what are you doing in my pub and tells me I’m barred! I said I haven’t done anything? He said it was for the comment I’d made 6 months ago? Then he creates a scene moving chairs and threatening to remove me. I explained I’m disabled and I’m just about to leave anyway. It was truly horrific and a terrible experience. Please please please give this place a wide berth. Myself and all my friends won’t be coming here again it was truly upsetting for all of us. Us mums didn’t need a display like that, honestly it was a very scary experience to see a man behave like that. The bartender was beautiful and such a lovely person. I hope she will be ok working there.
