I am an avid guest tgi fridays in stevenage, and am always pleased, but today majorly exceeded my expectations! Niamh on the bar greeted us with a smile at the door, and offered us to sit down and have a drink at the bar, before being seated at our table. as we were certainly in no rush out of our favourite food spot, we decided to take her up on her offer! watching Niamh as she crafted the cocktails of her choosing (based on her favourites and what flavours we like best), was an amazing experience! my son also has special needs and they always accommodate for him, including letting him shake his cocktail just to get him involved!!! (all approved by management of course, haha :) ) this made the start of the evening already go off with a bang! we were then taken over to our table to be sat with the lovely Bronwyn. she was kind, and patient with us both, and this meant a lot as my son decided to order his food himself! which is a major milestone for us, and would’ve been dampened by someone rushing us along, but not Bronwyn!! she assisted us in recommending her favourites, but of course i had to stick to me weekly classic- the jack daniel’s chicken strips!!! YUMMY!!!! all in all, my experience, as always, was amazing- but today it was elevated! thank you to the whole team at TGIs Stevenage, and a special shoutout to Niamh and Bronwyn, for keeping a smile on our faces, and ensuring we will come back again, and again! i love it here, they really make you feel at home, and part of the team. THANK YOU! :)

My mum and I came in this evening around 6pm and had a great time. We sat at the bar and had 2 cocktails each since they were doing 2for1, Niamh at the bar was speedy and happy to help since my mum was having trouble deciding between the paradise punch and the cherry tangtastic. Niamh gave her expertise, listening to what my mum liked and correctly chose the cherry tangtastic which went down a treat (i went for the instafamous). We were then peckish and decided to get a table, Grace, our server, was very sweet and patient while waiting for us to decide what to order, I in the end went for a glazed chicken burger and my mum went for a half rack of jack daniels ribs, these came out in perfect time and was delicious. One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while in terms of service and food. Will definitely be returning! (Probably sooner than I'd like to admit)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting TGIFridays, and I must say that it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. One of the standout elements of my visit was undoubtedly my interaction with the talented bar girl, Rebecca. I am genuinely a nice person and writing a genuine review that isn’t a bribe of a free shot to write a good review. We had a really disappointing experience at TGI Fridays in Stevenage this evening. It is indeed disheartening to encounter such a lack of professionalism and customer service.Upon ordering 4 cocktails on the Eve of my birthday, we were disappointed in how the £16 cocktails we ordered were served. They came in a standard glass, ungarnished and very watery (two were frozen). Yes we are one of those groups who like to have a photo with a lovely looking cocktail! The waitress mentioned they were closing down the bar which surprised us as it was only 20.50. She said she would get a manager. The manner in which the manager handled the situation is even more concerning. His lack of introduction and intimidating demeanor when he approached our table was completely unacceptable. When we raised valid concerns about the cocktails not resembling what was advertised on the menu, his dismissive response was far from professional. The response that "if we haven't got the glasses what do you want me to do" shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Furthermore, his statement that the alcohol content is the same and that it shouldn't matter is both unhelpful and disappointing. A customer's experience involves more than just the alcohol content; presentation and overall quality play a significant role, especially as my daughter influences and likes to put everything on her Instagram account. We suggested some garnish as a compromise and the managers response was “if you don’t want to drink them don’t! “ we asked the manager to provide his name and he proceeded to walk away with a “nah, go ahead and contact Head Office!” We left shocked! As a fan of TGI’s and someone who eats goes regularly with family and friends, I am actually angry that our evening out has been ruined by a rude, rude man who came across as aggressive toward a group of women.

This is inexcusable behavior from a manager in any establishment. We left shocked! As a fan of TGI’s and someone who regularly goes (not Stevenage) I will never set another foot in that restaurant. So many poor reviews about staff at Stevenage restaurant on google and nothing seems to be done!

Awful place. Food over priced..chips were dreadful. The service - omg - customers are so inconvenient to you - ffs serve the customers rather than stand around talking and disregarding customers.

New Year’s Eve dinner…Firstly, the toilets were absolutely vile. The food awful - ‘bigger kids’ portion was smaller than the ‘small kids’, one of the burgers was stone cold & one had no sauce. Service was terrible, apparently the server had handed their notice in so clearly couldn’t be bothered any longer! Food also massively overpriced. All in all, would never go back and would urge anyone to reconsider and go to one of the other many restaurants on the leisure park (to which we’ve been to Prezzo, ask, five guys & firejacks before - all been very good)

7 of us attended this restaurant for our daughter's 15th birthday. Both at booking and 1 hour before we went into the restaurant we reminded them it was a birthday and asked if they would do something to mark it. We were told they would. When we arrived we were surprised that the restaurant was so empty as used to be a case that this chain would have people queuing for tables and a great atmosphere. We ordered food and it was the most over-priced poor quality food I have ever had the displeasure to be put in front of me at the price level they charge. Nothing was good but as an example, one of us upgraded to cheese and bacon loaded fries. For the extra cost received was a bit of dried up cheese stuck to fries and 3 tiny squares of what they describe as bacon. The waitress who was polite asked if we were ok. We politely and calmly explained how disappointed we were with the food quality. For £18.50 the chicken burger was a dried up, over cooked tiny piece of chicken between a bun. I said to the waitress the management need to ask themselves why just across the road Nandos is busy. There is no comparison to a Nandos burger and it's only about 75% the cost of what we were served. Despite our complaints we were charged the full amount. Then on the way out we saw all the staff cheering and clapping another birthday for an adult. When my wife asked why our daughters birthday was ignored, they said where were you we would have come over? (It's not as though we could not be seen, there was only around 10 tables with customers. The fact we had a whopping balloon on the table should have been all the reminder they needed in addition to the two prompts already given. Whole experience was a birthday disaster, I would never again trust them to help celebrate a family birthday. The TGI Fridays I remember for great food has sadly gone. Burgers used to be amazing, now you get a better burger at McDonalds for less than £5. Rest of food resembled pre-prepared 4 mins in microwave meal that's been left in 2 minutes too long. Needless to say this will be the last time I step into that restaurant. Based on what we found with quality and loads of empty tables, it won't be long until it's consigned to history as people will not put up with being ripped off when better alternatives are available.
