Myself and my partner recently enjoyed a delightful meal at the North Star, savouring their fish and chips. The overall experience was very enjoyable, and the staff’s warmth added a special touch to the evening. The crispy batter of the fish paired perfectly with the tender flakiness inside, making it a satisfying dish. The lovely staff further enhanced the experience, providing attentive and friendly service throughout. I would recommend the North Star for a pleasant dining experience with classic fish and chips!

Had a reservation today arrived on time and had to wait 10 mins to be seated. Once seated we had to ask for them to clean the tables and provide cutlery. Customer service was over all really good and the food was tasty. It’s got a typical pub vibe.They do have a good selection of drinks and allow dogs also.

Unfortunately there was not enough staff to cover the amount of customers, therefore queueing 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink, food also 35 minutes late, the staff that were there did very well. Gents toilet was flooded all night, nobody attempted to clean it, but,we made the best of it entertained by the Soul Man who was brilliant as always.

The staff are really friendly and the food is decent.The only suggestion I would make is I know one of the other pubs owned by this brewery in Hatfield offers a much better vegan menu so if this pub extended the vegan menu to reflect that of the one in Hatfield I would be more likely to spend more time and money here.
Stopped in for a pint during a walkabout through the woods. Didn't eat, but the roasts smelled delightful.

Can't comment too much on food as I was only drinking but comments from other guests were extremely favourable.What I can say is, Lisa, Cat and the team are amazing, and can't do enough to make your visit an enjoyable one. Great outdoor seating area and spacious clean interior with a fantastic range of drinks.Well worth giving them a try, I am sure you won't be disappointed

If I could give this no stars I would!Utterly appalled by the customer service in this pub. I used to work in food retail and as far as I was aware the customer is always right!Well apparently in this pub they are not. My friend ordered good old bangers and mash. What she did not expect with it was a good old hair.We was told that they could get her a new one or a refund I said a refund because quite frankly the fact that they thought we would eat here. Got a refund after the rude waitress had accused us of it being our hair.Safe to say I will never eat here again ?

Open on a Monday for food which apparently is a rarity nowadays.Okay pub grub.I think there was about 8-10 folks in there, thus lacked a bit of atmosphere.I was with great company and the evening was great.
