We booked a table here for Mother's Day yesterday and we were so happy with everything! The food was brilliant, especially my South Asian Style Curry, and the service from everyone we came across was just as good. Such good value for money. The level of cleanliness that we saw was top level, I can't wait to come back here again soon for another great meal. Will 100% recommend The Hare and Hounds to anyone looking to have a meal out. No IPA, no large sparkling water, no fish dishes... and £6.20 for a pint of shandy.... won't be going back here... Very disappointing for a place in such a good location. Not good for a Greene King pub.

We pre booked a table for 3 us us for Sunday lunch. The service was great and staff were helpful and friendly. The roast dinner was hot and freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend the food. We were just a bit disappointed with the limited beer selection. But overall a very enjoyable experience and reasonably priced.
Staying on the island for a few days and came across the Hare & Hounds so decided to go in providing it was pet friendly which it was. Didnt have to wait to be seated and service was top notch. Very friendly staff. Was told that there may be delay in food but to be honest this was not noticed. 4 empty plates later and all agreed the food was good. Couldn't fault this visit and only scored 4 on atmosphere simply because it wasnt busy.

Got lucky here on another bad weather day with the kids. Kitchen was open earlier than expected and staff was very kind. Food was much better than expected and everyone didn't mind the children. Cask ale options and move and warm inside.Kid-friendliness: Staff were very kind to the children

"Manger", if you could him that! He looked disheveled and is in need of belt ?. When he wasn't disrespecting the only other member of staff he was doing nothing while other staff member was doing everything!5 stars to the other member of staff. Great service, polite, friendly. The complete opposite of the "manager".Will not be returning and will actively steering people away from the establishment, if that's how they let there staff get treated!
