Great night out. No food available but you can order take away food too the pub and they will provide you with plates and cutlery. An excellent idea if you ask

Working on the island and staying nearby.Pub was a great traditional sort of place; selection of ales and cracking Guinness. Pints were very well priced.Staff were really friendly and the locals were a great bunch - cribbage and darts nights when we visited so a great busy pub atmosphere.Extra bonus was the 'takeaway' service - get local food delivered or collected and they provide a plate and cutlery for your meal.A great place, great beer, great people. Wish I was more local!

Great place, the bar has been fully decorated for Halloween, lots of events organised for the weekend. Staff very friendly, had a great atmosphere to the place.Didn't eat there so can't comment.

Brilliant medieval decor.Lovely old traditional English pub.Very nice selection of beers, including cask.They offer the option of you bringing your own food in, which we did and it was the best of both worlds.Very friendly and homely staff.Will be returning, next time we're in Sandown.

Great little pub, we popped in while on our honeymoon, the decor alone is worth going in for but the atmosphere and music is what you'll stay for as well as fair prices on drinks

Great friendly local pub in sandown just off the main high street popular with both tourists and locals. Great prices.Has a good sized bar area and also a great size beer garden to the rear of the pub.They don’t serve food but are happy for you to get a takeaway delivered and will provide crockery.Well worth a visit

Old style English Pub, with an absolutely charming courtyard garden. They don't do food but you can bring in a take away and they have lots of bar snacks to choose from.Have a good range on draught.

Really friendly staff and locals. There was a bit of a wait to get served, but that's not a negative. I would rather wait 5 minutes to be served and be in a fairly full pub with atmosphere than be served instantly in a dead pub. Definitely going back for a lot more of the same.
