Had driven past many times and finally decided to pay a visit (mainly due to being halfway between my youngest's house and the ferry). Arrived before food was being served but more than welcomed and accommodated for the wait. Loved that there seemed to be a healthy amount of regulars in the pub and dog friendly (bar side only) with real fires for winter. Nice selection of beer also. Once orders were being taken, I opted for steak and ale pie ( which was perfect). Good selection on the menu for light bites, mains, and vegetarian options (kids menu also available). Staff were very attentive, and do note if you have a ferry to catch. This may well now become a regular spot. Good amount of parking, easily accessible and just 4 mins away from the Fishguard terminal.

Living locally we have been to The Cedars several times for meals and drinks, but we really appreciate the Landlord putting on some interesting and great ales. We fully understand a pub has to keep a range of beers and ciders, but this pub puts on some real gems. Last night we were enjoying Dark Star Prize Old Ale on draught at 9%. Much appreciated !

I organise half termly meeting with a meal for the national education union and it’s time consuming, but not at this pub. Quick communication by Facebook message and email. Members walked out enthusiastically talking about the food, and as my colleague said on the service “it’s nice to be valued”. Try it you won’t regret it.
