Calle in by chance on the last day of our holiday. Great pint of cider and a lovely ploughman’s platter to share - excellent value, great quality and friendly staff - give it a try as this place is definitely on the up!

Was meant to get a free veg pizza, which would have been great! Waited ages and didn’t get anything! They don’t take care of locals!

Popped in as there is a new pizza place in the courtyard at the back. I had a meatzza, which was lovely and you could watch them being made. I’ll definitely be back.

Brand new venture at the George - fabulously fresh pizza and super-quick delivery! Will definitely come again - thank you Claire, and good luck! ?

The owner is absolutely disrespectful, if I said a control freak ran this establishment then I would have hit the nail on the head.

Not great experience. Turned up around 5pm asking for table for 2. It wasn't busy. I think we were only ones ordering. Was asked to take a seat by lady behind bar who said she would bring out menu. The menu never showed up. I went back to the bar which was desserted. A lady who was just leaving offered to take our order which was nice of her. Whilst waiting for our meal all we could hear was a Liverpudlian lady shouting. The Sunday roast was nice so no complaint there. There were various other people including staff walking around shouting and swearing. Just not a nice experience. Not professional. It was better when I went a few years ago but apparently there has been a change of management. I think it needs to change again. Don't feel that I would want to return.

Popped in for a drink with a friend, the welsh barmaid made our visit very enjoyable, however the young barman not so much, he came across as a little weird, kept contradicting the welsh barmaid and avoided any responsibility when it came to dealing with louder customers leaving it all to the welsh barmaid to deal with

Has gone downhill massively with the change of management. The clients are not people who you will want to share a pub with. Very intimidating, loads of load swearing and there had just been an incident. It used to be excellent food but we left before ordering and will not go back. Restaurant used to be full at the weekend and now it was empty, which says it all.

Apparently the pub had recently come under new management, we were met by a young man, my friend had reserved a table so we were shown where to sit. The meal was ok and our waitress was very sweet. When we got the bill for our meal it had OLD LADIES written on the top, we may not be in our prime but we are mobile and fit! We challenged them about it on the way out and they did apologise, but needless to say we won’t be going back there.

Missed my bus for Tenterden so had a pint of Harvey's bitter in The George & Dragon while waiting for next bus. Lovely pint of beer served by friendly staff. Ten out of ten for everything. Highly recommend.
