Readers of another review site will know that I frequent "Spice of India" and think very highly of the establishment. However, Friday night they excelled themselves, when I got there (just after 7) there was no one in the restaurant and I expected a lower standard as a result. How wrong can you be (and thankfully the restaurant did get busier).
I decided to have a proper meal being a beer, papadum, starter, red wine and main course, more than I normally order and consume. A cobra and papadum appeared in quick order. I then had the King Prawn Butterfly and was astonished to get ONE king prawn but it was huge (about the size of a large saucer or small side plate) and tasted devine. I had already ordered a bottle of Rioja with relatively low expectations as it was priced at just under £16, WRONG it was, for the price, superb. As a main I had the Karai Kebab with Egg Fried Rice, which turned out to be an extremely good choice. Overall the best meal I have ever had in the Spice of India and therefore the best Indian I have ever had in this country. Well done all the staff for making my evening.

I ordered the food through Just Eat on Mother's day at 6pm. The food was supposed to be delievered around 7.30pm but it didn't arrive until 9.10pm. It was cold and the chicken was tough. Chicken madras had only had couple of bits of chicken in it, it was mainly just sauce.I have ordered from Spice of India many times before and the last couple of times the delievery time was ridiculous and the food wasn't up to a standard which is a shame as we used to love this restaurant.

Ordered food on deliveroo, with estimated delivery time of 45 minutes. OK we thought!1.5 hours later, still no food so we call the restaurant, where the lady says it will be 20 another mins max. Fine.Another hour passes, still nothing!I get Saturdays are a busy day, but leaving us to wait 2.5 hours for 3 items is not acceptable service.Food eventually arrived, and it was cold and disappointingRest assured we won't be ordering from you again. Thanks

Only have take away. Never greasy. Always tasty. Can't
I've been going here for well over a year now and the food is always delicious. This is probably my favourite Indian takeaway in Ashford. I like to treat myself every now and again to a good Indian the food here is exceptionally good! I also think the pricing is very reasonable they also offer 50% discount at certain times via delivery.

One of the best Indian food spot in Ashford Town. They have the best tandoors I have ever had in UK. Not only Taste, Quantity and Quality too. Food on reasonable price only. The best place to hangout too. Staffs are really polite and quick. Whenever we order from home they everytime surprise us with complimentary stuffs too. Great fan of Tandoori Chicken and Naan. Their Biriyani is also really nice, like eating from India the same taste. Nice work guys. Please keep quality everytime like now.
